Story
Tucker is a handsome 3-year-old, 26-pound Rat Terrier/Beagle mix with a big personality and all the charm you'd expect from his breeds! He loves being close to his people and will happily be your little shadow. One of his favorite things in the world is playing with the water hose, and if you have a kiddie pool or sprinkler, he'll be first in line for the fun. This active, intelligent boy thrives on exercise, long walks, and enrichment to keep both his body and mind busy. Like many Rat Terriers, Tucker can find his own entertainment if he's bored, so he'll do best with a family committed to keeping him engaged. He's learning what is and isn't appropriate to chew and continues to make great progress. Tucker is crate trained and is working hard on his house training. A consistent routine with frequent potty breaks will help him continue to succeed. He knows "sit" and is currently learning "stay." Tucker gets along well with other dogs but will require a meet-and-greet with any resident pups to ensure they're a good match. Because he can get a little mouthy when he's excited or asking for attention, he'd do best in a home with older children. He should also live in a home without small animals, such as rabbits or bearded dragons. Tucker is a big fan of mealtime and prefers not to have people reaching into his food bowl while he's eating, so his family should respect his space during meals. A securely fenced yard would be ideal, giving him a safe place to run, play, and burn off some of his energy. If you're looking for a fun-loving, loyal companion who will keep you laughing, follow you everywhere, and happily splash around in the hose with you, Tucker just might be your perfect match! He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and will be available for adoption starting 7/12/26. Apply directly at www.pawsacrosspittsburgh.com/adopt through Paws Across Pittsburgh, Springdale, PA 15144, KL#16182. ##2780399##
