Story
Macy is located in TEXAS. There are not enough homes for all the unwanted dogs down there, so she is willing to relocate for a good, loving, forever home. Macy looks like a rat terrier. We are guessing she is around 3 years of age and she weighs 15 pounds. As expected, she was a bit leery of the other dogs at first but now she is just as happy and playful as she can be. Macy is very affectionate and loves attention and pets. She likes to sit next to you on the couch and grumbles at the other dogs to keep them away so she can have all the attention. This is a bad habit and should not be encouraged. Macy is crate-trained and well-behaved in the house. She likes to roll herself up in a blanket when sleeping. Macy is getting chubby after her spay and her new family needs to take her on walks to lose weight. Macy is doing well with housetraining but may need more work. Because Macy is small, she must be protected from rough treatment by children or big dogs that could hurt her. She must also be protected from raptors and other outdoor predators. Macy must be an inside dog and a loved member of the family. To avoid injury, she will need steps to get on and off the couch and other furniture. Macy must be walked on a leash and would like a secure, fenced yard to run and play. Macy is healthy. She is spayed and tattooed, fully vaccinated (DAPPvL2, Bordatella, rabies), and microchipped. She is negative for heartworms and receives monthly heartworm and flea prevention. ALL transport costs are included in the adoption fee with delivery to Kent, Arlington, or Bellingham WA. Macy is currently located in Texas and cannot be transported until after she is adopted. Please send an email to 2manydogstx@gmail.com if you are interested in adopting this little sweet girl. Story
Meet the handsome Catrin - ready for adoption! Catrin is a small male Rat Terrier mix, 4 years old, weighing about 9 lbs. He was rescued from a medical laboratory on a busy street in Guadulajara.  Despite his unknown past, Catrin is a super friendly and playful doggie. He is pretty easy going and enjoys being with his friends, human and canine alike. Catrin is medium energy, enjoys a couple walks per day, and will be a great match for a moderately active person/family. He'd do well in a home with kids or other dogs to hang out with, but this is not a necessity. Catrin is great with other dogs. He has lots of canine friends at the rescue shelter in Guadalajara and never shows any aggression, reactivity or resource guarding with the other dogs.  He has not been tested with cats but we can request a kitty introduction if needed. In terms of his training, Catrin has not had much training but is very clever and will pick up on the do's and do not's quickly. He is not fully leash trained however he is crate trained.  Catrin will be coming to BC (Langley) as soon as his forever home or foster is found! He is looking for an adopter or foster to love on him when he arrives. Catrin had a less than perfect start to his little life and deserves a loving home to show him that he deserves all the love in the world. VETTING:   Fully vaccinated.  Neutered.  Dewormed.  SNAP 4Dx negative (Heartworm, Lyme disease, Ehrlichia, and Anaplasma).  Distemper negative.  Flea/tick/heartworm prevention.  No known medical issues or injuries.   **PLEASE NOTE: Catrin is currently in Mexico. There will be a $235 fee for transportation to BC. This will be discussed upon approval.** ##1998521##

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Rocky My name is Rocky. I was abandoned when my owners moved away. I don't know why they left me behind. But fortunately, I was fortunate enough to be found by kind people who helped me get my life back on track. I am a healthy and strong 5.5-year-old who gets along well with other dogs. I'm looking for a nice couple or an adult to be my forever companion. Sorry, I'm not sure about kids, as they tend to scare me. I have been neutered, microchipped, and I am up-to-date on my vaccines. I also had a complete dental check-up on November 29th, 2023.  I'm currently in Washington, having moved here from California, and I'm eagerly waiting to find my forever family. Cheryl, the founder of the rescue that took care of me, says that I have dreamy eyes and a sweet personality. I'm also very intelligent. However, I may be a bit shy and nervous initially because of all the scary experiences I've had in my life. But if you're patient and gentle with me, I promise to be your BFF forever. I do tend to like woman more then men but if a couple adopts me, just give me the time I need to get to know the man of the home and we can be good buddies. The rescue organization that is helping me find my new home says that I need a patient and experienced person who understands that trust takes time to build. I don't give my love easily, but when I do, you'll have my whole heart. I growl at strangers in the home, but with fear-free training, patience, and love, I can learn to trust again. I'm a love bucket waiting to be filled with affection from my new companion. I trust women more than men, but I can learn to trust anyone who is kind and caring. How Can You Meet Rocky? Please use this link to apply, One of our volunteers will review the application and call to follow up with questions, answer yours, and see if you are a match  Rocky has been transitioned to a human-grade diet that avoids kibble in place of a healthy canine-specific feeding regimen. We will educate his adopters on proper diet and nutrition for him and his new buddies. To apply to adopt Rocky, he has a $550.00 adoption fee.  All monies will be recycled to cover medical care and rescue more dogs. Please fill out the online application using this link.  Please be thorough in your answers and expound whenever possible so we get to know you and can make the best match.       https ://rompinpawsrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 2, 2024, 5:18 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. SOPHIES' JOURNEY. Sophie was discovered as a young puppy wandering the streets of Bakersfield. Sadly, her head was covered in injuries caused by an unknown animal. The rescue team that found her took her to the vet and discovered that Sophie was blind. She was in a vulnerable state, and it was shocking to think that she had been wandering the streets blind, alone, hungry, and scared. Anna, a rescuer and sister to Shannon, who runs Emm and Mals Animal Sanctuary and has been caring for Sophie, called and asked if Rompin Paws Rescue would take Sophie and place her in a loving home. Sophie is 1-year-old, spayed and current on vaccines. She is the sweetest dog you will ever meet. She loves to bond to a woman and can be slowly introduced to men and she will be fine. Sophie learns her environment quickly and navigates it so well you would scarcely know she is blind. It will not be easy to walk her on a lead, so having a good size yard that she can run in circles and play while under supervision is the best scenario for her. She lives to chew on her split deer antler and squeaky toys. Sophie wags her tail furiously in anticipation when you are entering a room, she is so happy to know you are there. If you love a snuggle pup and have the time to spend with this wonderful girl, then you may just be a match. Update: We recently introduces Sophie to two very friendly Maltese-poodles and once she realized they were not going to hurt her, they quickly became friends. Sophie is so pleased to have dog buddies to share her days here at the rescue. How Can You Meet Sophie? Story
Lita is located in TEXAS. There are not enough homes for all the unwanted dogs down there, so she is willing to relocate for a good, loving, forever home. We know that Lita is a wire-haired Jack Russell Terrier mix. She is just over 1 year of age and she weighs 21 pounds. Lita also has an adorable head tilt. She is sweet, active, and playful. She loves to be cuddled and petted. At first, Lita was terrified of the other dogs, but now she loves to run and play with all of the other dogs. Lita does like to chase cats. Lita is a JRT, she is very smart, and she will jump a 4'-5' fence or gate to go chase a squirrel or cat. She must have a secure 6' fence to prevent escape. We put a training collar on her for about a week and she quickly learned to stay in the yard and to come when called. Lita is crate-trained and will run and get in her crate when it is time to do so. She obviously received no training from the person who previously had her, but she is very smart and learns quickly. Lita may need more work with housetraining and her house manners have gotten much better - she no longer chews on things that she is not supposed to. Lita must be in the house as a loved member of the family. She must be walked on a leash and must have a secure, 6-foot-tall fenced yard to run and play. Lita is healthy. She is spayed, tattooed, fully vaccinated (DAPPvL2, Bordatella, rabies), and microchipped. She is negative for heartworms and receives monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Litas' adoption fee includes the cost of ground transport to Kent, Arlington, or Bellingham WA. She is located in Texas and cannot be transported until after she is adopted.
