Ozzy Happy Feet earned his name honestly. This happy little 10-pound guy will stand up on his back paws and dance, and somehow that perfectly sums up his personality. He’s bouncy, curious, always smiling, and usually ready to see what interesting thing is happening next. Ozzy Happy Feet is a happy-go-lucky little boy with medium to fun energy and an independent streak. He loves people and is friendly with everyone he meets, but there’s something important to know about him: Ozzy Happy Feet is not a lapdog. He would much rather be exploring, playing, walking, or checking out his surroundings than spending the entire day curled up on someone’s lap. Other dogs are a big part of Ozzy Happy Feet’s life. *Currently fostered in Portland, OR Meet Castiel! Castiel is currently a year old, and we think he may be a wire hair terrier and chihuahua mix, but with rescue it’s always a guess! This puppy is from a part of the US where puppies are regularly euthanized. So, this puppy needs you! If you choose a puppy from this rescue, it saves their life AND it also allows us to save the life of another in its place. Castiel is a joyful boy with a wiry coat, probably moderate to low shedder, and he’s young so he has spunky energy. He likes toys and playing with kids! He tries to instigate play and engagement. Castile is so unique and beautiful! Everywhere we take him, people talk about how unique he is! Castiel is a Good little guy! He played with Jessica - another small playful dog- and he is not too pushy with his play, for a puppy. He played chase for a little bit and would come back up to me to sit next to my feet. Once he got tired he would lay down in front of me and relax taking all the affection he could get. He is a puppy so he will need some training as he gets older, but he will learn quickly because he is very much a people pleaser. When he met my kids ages 4 and 7, he was joyful and wanted to engage with them. He’s very trusting and outgoing. He does like toys and wants to initiate play. *Currently fostered in Portland, OR Meet Castiel! Castiel is currently a year old, and we think he may be a wire hair terrier and chihuahua mix, but with rescue it’s always a guess! This puppy is from a part of the US where puppies are regularly euthanized. So, this puppy needs you! If you choose a puppy from this rescue, it saves their life AND it also allows us to save the life of another in its place. Castiel is a joyful boy with a wiry coat, probably moderate to low shedder, and he’s young so he has spunky energy. He likes toys and playing with kids! He tries to instigate play and engagement. Castile is so unique and beautiful! Everywhere we take him, people talk about how unique he is! Castiel is a Good little guy! He played with Jessica - another small playful dog- and he is not too pushy with his play, for a puppy. He played chase for a little bit and would come back up to me to sit next to my feet. Once he got tired he would lay down in front of me and relax taking all the affection he could get. He is a puppy so he will need some training as he gets older, but he will learn quickly because he is very much a people pleaser. When he met my kids ages 4 and 7, he was joyful and wanted to engage with them. He’s very trusting and outgoing. He does like toys and wants to initiate play. Butter Believe It doesn’t know it yet, but there are a whole lot of good things waiting for her. There are toys she hasn’t discovered, grass she hasn’t run through, treats she hasn’t tasted, and people she hasn’t met yet who may someday wonder how their home ever felt complete without her. For now, Butter Believe It is a newborn baby girl, and her world is exactly as small and cozy as it should be. Her days are spent eating, sleeping, staying warm, and growing alongside her littermates, Gouda Little Gooda, Cream Dream Supreme, and Cheddar Little Charmer. We don’t know yet whether Butter Believe It will grow into the adventurous puppy who wants to investigate everything, the silly one who keeps everyone laughing, or the one who always finds the best place to curl up for a nap. She’s still too little to tell us, and we’re happy to let her show us when she’s ready. Over the next several weeks, Butter Believe It will start experiencing so many firsts. Her world will get bigger, her personality will begin showing itself, and we’ll start learning all the little things that make her different from her siblings. Eventually, one of those firsts will be finding a family of her own. Dulce is Spanish for sweet, and we cannot imagine a more fitting name for this teeny tiny girl. From her soulful eyes and adorable scruffy face to the way she gently nuzzles into you like you are her favorite warm spot, everything about Dulce Kisses is soft and sweet. She may need a little time before showing you her cuddly side, but once she decides you are safe, she will lean against your legs for affection, place a tiny paw on you asking to be picked up, and crawl right into your lap. With animal rescue, breed and age are always a mystery and our best guesses. What we do know is that she is a teeny tiny little thing with the sweetest scruffy face! Dulce is dog friendly and has done great with the dogs we have introduced her to. She is also fostered in a home with other dogs and has spent time around dogs both her size and larger than her. Dulce has a gentle approach and appreciates dogs who understand that. She is not the type to immediately jump into play or enjoy another dog being pushy or all up in her face. Give her a little time, though, and you may catch her offering the cutest mini play bow or happily trotting alongside her new friend. She could live with another small gentle dog or even a larger dog who is calm and respectful. Dulce also met our house cat, Biggie, and was very appropriate and respectful with him. She did not chase him and was not bothered by Biggie jumping around or doing the funny things cats do. Biggie seemed comfortable around her too! We do not know whether Dulce has ever lived with a cat, and this was our first time seeing her interact with one. If you have a cat at home, we can arrange a sleepover with a cat upon request. Just let us know! New people and unfamiliar environments can feel a little overwhelming to Dulce at first, so she will need someone willing to let her open up at her own pace. Her affection is worth the wait. Before you know it, she will be pressed against your legs, gazing up at you with those soulful eyes and asking to be scooped into your lap. She is incredibly loving and affectionate once she feels comfortable, and we have a feeling her favorite place will always be wherever her person happens to be. Dulce is crate trained and generally seems comfortable relaxing in her crate. From what we have seen so far, she also appears to understand where the appropriate potty places are. She loves treats, takes them very gently, and already knows how to sit. Treats are definitely one of the quickest ways to her heart! For now, Dulce would do best in a quieter home with a yard where she can settle in without the noise and commotion of big-city life. She could use a little more practice on leash, so a patient family who can help her build confidence at her own pace would be perfect. Dulce does not need anyone to rush her. She simply needs a soft place to land, gentle hands to guide her, and a lap that is ready to become her favorite warm spot. Fostered in Cornelius OR and ready for meet and greets! Meet Jessie Marshmallow Toy Story! Meet Jessie Marshmallow Toy Story, a tiny puppy currently estimated to be about 5 months old. We believe this little one may be a Jack Russell Terrier mix, but as with many rescue puppies, her exact breed blend is a mystery. What isn’t a mystery is that she is absolutely precious. Every day is filled with snuggles, socialization, puppy playtime, and plenty of naps as she learns about the world around her.
