Story
Thor here is an adorable rat terrier with a full tri coat. He is high energy and but loves to cuddle. Favorite pastime is running on the beach. He was given to me by a local where I live in grays harborI am not happy about giving thor up for rehoming, but I am moving in with my girlfriend and I am starting a new job that would end in him being in a kennel for most of the day. And there are a myriad of reasons why I need to find him a new home. He is too high energy to be around toddlers, and it would end with him being in a kennel for most of the day and that is not the life I want for him. He does come with large kennel. He is not aggressive in any way and he has never bitten anyone. Please help me to find a good home for him, I am at a loss and am running out of time. I'm not asking for any money for him i'm just looking for someone to take him into a home where he can run around and have freedom outside i can't offer.

Story
Louie’s legs are as long as his hopes for lap-dog life are high! Estimated to be around 8 months old, this leggy little black-and-white cutie boy appears to be a Rat Terrier/ Jack Russell mix but of course, with rescue dogs that is simply our best educated guess. His adorable spotted coat, impossibly expressive face, and ears that somehow manage to stand up in perfect little triangles while still flopping around when he runs make him look like he walked straight out of a children's storybook. Add in his joyful personality, and you've got a dog that's very easy to fall for. Go watch Louie Longlegs on YouTube, then come right back to read more. His video is the perfect introduction to his playful spirit, sweet nature, and the delightful charm that follows him wherever those long legs take him. https://youtu.be/da0e4WC6yRE Louie is being lovingly fostered in a home with other dogs, where he has proven himself to be a wonderful little companion. He loves having dog friends to play with, happily shares toys, enjoys splashing around in the water, and approaches life with the kind of happy curiosity that makes every day a little more entertaining. He can be a touch shy when meeting someone new, but don't expect that stage to last long. A little sweet talk and a yummy treat leads to a belly rub request and suddenly you're one of his favorite people. Once he feels comfortable, his affectionate side shines. He loves giving kisses and firmly believes that those wonderfully long legs qualify him for full-time lap dog privileges. Louie has lived with children before and has done beautifully. He is gentle taking treats, enjoys being part of the family, and has the kind of playful personality that fits naturally into an active, fun-loving household. Whether the kids are tossing toys in the yard or everyone is relaxing together after dinner, Louie is happy simply being there. He's also a great little road trip companion. He rides well in the car and is always ready to see where the day leads. He's the kind of dog who seems to find fun wherever he goes. Because Louie is still a young dog, he is continuing to polish his leash skills. He already has the basics down and is eager to learn, so with a little consistency and positive reinforcement, he'll continue growing into a wonderfully well-mannered companion. Louies love of the sprinklers and rolling in the grass would be perfectly happy living house with a yard life and because he can occasionally bark to let you know someone is at the door or he heard something, Louie is not for apartment life. It isn't constant or excessive, but shared walls probably wouldn't appreciate his enthusiasm for neighborhood updates. If you're looking for a cheerful little sidekick with a playful heart, an affectionate nature, and enough personality to keep you smiling every day, Louie is ready and waiting for you! If you think Louie Longlegs might be your perfect match, we'd love to hear from you. PLEASE NOTE! WE ARE A TEXAS-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY IN TEXAS AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO YOUR STATE ONCE ADOPTED. Our application can be found at haydudeequine.org. **Hi, I’m Zippy!** 🐾 I’m a 3-year-old Chi x Rat Terrier mix — a tiny 14-pound package with giant ears, endless energy, and a whole lot of personality! I’ve never met a stranger in my life. Two legs or four, I’m ready to be best friends immediately. My tail goes full helicopter mode the second I see someone I like (which is pretty much everyone). I get along great with other dogs (I love playing with my foster siblings), but what I’m really dreaming of is a person or family of my very own to shower with nonstop love and ridiculous devotion. I’m happiest when I’m glued to my humans, following them everywhere like a happy little shadow. I’m a smart cookie too! I’ve mastered the dog door like a pro and I’m doing awesome with house training. I’ve got that classic Rat Terrier spunk mixed with Chihuahua charm, so I’d love an active family who can keep up with my playful zoomies while giving me plenty of affection and attention. If you’re looking for a loyal, goofy, big-eared best friend who will greet you with maximum excitement every single day, I might be your perfect little match! Ready to bring home the happiest 14 pounds on the planet? Let’s do this! ❤️

Story
** Currently fostered in Port Angeles, WA ** This sweet, prancing prince is Rigger, a loving and energetic young fellow. Nice humans are a new thing for Rigger, so he's timid in new situations and with new friends. But he doesn’t take long to warm up and give the most tender kisses. His mind and body both run at about ten times the speed of everyone else's, so he's basically a turbo-charged love machine. He can sneak in ten licks before you even realize he's in your lap! Watch him in action here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bOC2JUp3IGI A smart boy who is willing to please, Rigger is potty trained and crate trained. He is quite motivated by food, which is a great training asset! So far, he knows "kennel" and "sit" and is enjoying learning more. Rigger is submissive with his foster mom and his two pittie foster brothers. But he is still full of sass! He loves to play with dogs more than twice his size, as long as they’re gentle and kind. He enjoys chasing, being chased, and ferociously thrashing stuffies and crinkle toys. And he loves a tasty bone to chew. He's quite athletic and graceful, trotting with high steps or leaping through the grass. This devoted pup follows his foster mom or his favorite foster brother around the house and yard. He is always happy and spunky, with oodles of love to give. We believe he’s a year-old rat terrier, though with rescues we’re never sure, of course. He weighs just over 20 lbs and is slowly gaining weight. Rigger has a journey ahead of him; he needs to discover the world and his own fortitude. He’s already come a long way in the short time he’s been in our care and we can't wait to see him build more confidence. Rigger's adopter will need to continue working with him on socialization. He is looking for a home where his human is around most of the time, with no small children, and plenty of opportunities for rigger-ous exercise. This boy needs to play a few times a day. He makes his own fun with toys if no one will play with him, though he sure prefers a playmate. He would love to live with other dogs. We don't know about cats, though, as he hasn't met any yet. If you think sweet, snuggly, timid Rigger is the right fit for your family, visit his adoption page: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/6a3c3f7f292bcc77010ea377 Questions?
