This beautiful hound is Ellie! Ellie is an approximately 4.5-year-old female Redbone Coonhound mix who weighs around 45 lbs. She was rescued as a stray from the streets of OKC. Ellie is a sweet girl, playful, and loves her treats and chew bones! She prefers male dogs to females. She must meet all dogs in the home prior to adoption. Ellie, in typical hound fashion, loves singing the song of her people, so she would not do well in an apartment setting. She also needs a secure stockade (wood) fence for her to play safely in. We do not know if Ellie is house-trained as she is in daycare boarding. She is crate-trained and is doing much better walking with a harness. We recommend a harness when walking her. Ellie is available as a foster-to-adopt or just a foster. Ellie is spayed, current on vaccines, on heartworm preventative, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $250. Hi my name is Birdie I’m a Redbone coonhound. I’ would be a prefect hiking buddy. Once I know my people I would great off leash. I’m very energetic. I love to play. I love my toys I do require a 6 foot fence I only jumped the fence to go to the front door to be with my people. Story
Ruby is a 3 year old, 45 lb sweetheart with a loving and playful spirit. She loves romping outside with other dogs, squeaky toys, learning new things, and curling up for cuddles. She absolutely lights up when she sees familiar people. Her tail wag is endless and she happily soaks up belly rubs and affection. She's housebroken, crate trained and currently lives happily in a family setting with other dogs and cats. She does best with slow intros to new dogs but once she realizes they are friendly she's very sweet, playful and submissive. She is a wonderful cat companion also and totally ignores them, including the litter box. Ruby completed a 3 week board and train program and did AMAZING. Her trainer was impressed with how quickly she picks up new skills and how eager she is to work. She learned all kinds of obedience skills and manners. She can be anxious meeting new people outside her comfort zone so adopters without expectations of taking her out and about to busy places is ideal. She's a simple girl that loves the familiarity and routine of home and walks in nature. Ruby's quite agile and can jump low fences so high fences and/or supervision while she's outdoors is a must. If you're looking for a loyal and loving companion, Ruby might just be your girl! Ruby is spayed, microchipped, utd on vaccines and prevention and negative for both heart worms and tick diseases. Our Rescue is 100% donation based all the way to adoption. We do not have set adoption fees, but we do require a donation to be made at the time of adoption. Donations go towards saving other animals and preparing them for their new lives in their new homes!
