This stunning girl is Ellie!
Ellie is an approximately 3-year-old female Redbone Coonhound who weighs around 45 lbs. She was rescued from a local shelter.
If you're looking for a new best friend who will stick by you through all your adventures, look no further than Ellie! This loving and athletic female dog is affectionate and curious, and always eager to learn more about the world around her.
Although we don't know if she's good with other dogs, she is a friendly and playful pup who would love to go on walks, hikes, and runs with you. With a heart as big as her love for cuddles, Ellie is sure to bring joy and laughter to any home. Ellie is a mature dog, so we are looking for a family who is prepared to take on the responsibility of adopting a dog. Ellie, in true hound fashion, loves singing the song of her people (but not exceedingly), so she would not do well in an apartment setting. Needs a very secure stockade (wood) fence for her to play in! She has been fine with the children that she has met at outreaches.
We don't know if Ellie is house-trained as she is in a boarding situation. She is in a run at night and may need some continued assistance with leash-training. We recommend a harness.
Since Ellie is currently in a boarding situation, she qualifies as a foster-to-adopt or a foster.
Ellie is spayed, current on vaccines, heartworm negative, current on HW preventive and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $225.
