Story
My name is Duke and I have quite the story to tell! I was once running at large all around west Tennessee. I was on my own for so long that my hair went away and I got real skinny. I wasn't in good shape, but someone found me and took me to the shelter! I was quickly taken by a rescue so I could get healthy! I came to my current home in pretty rough shape, but I got so much love and affection that I started looking like a beautiful Redbone again! I was very hungry all the time and I'm still a hungry boy, but I know that I get food every day now! Since coming to my new home, I've gained a lot of weight and am getting healthy! I get medicated baths a few times a week and love snacks throughout the day. I'm excited to show-off new pictures as I get healthier-and-healthier! I am a very nice boy and love getting attention and pets. I am a hound and can be kind of loud at times, but that's just my personality. I would love to find my forever home one day! I would love to meet you and your family!

Story
MEET LINCOLN — OUR BIG, GOOFY, SINGING HOUND WITH A HEART OF GOLD! Lincoln has come such a long way since leaving Memphis Animal Services, and now this handsome boy is ready to find a forever family to call his own! Lincoln is a 5–6-year-old, 70-pound Bloodhound/Redbone Coonhound mix with the sweetest personality and an easygoing temperament that makes him incredibly lovable. When Lincoln first came into HERO’s care, he had an old hip injury that required surgery. Thanks to some much-needed medical care and recovery time, our sweet boy is doing wonderfully! He’s using his back leg more and more, and he’s even RUNNING again! Watching him rediscover the joy of playing and running has been absolutely heartwarming. And Lincoln is making up for lost time! This boy LOVES toys, enjoys playing, and gets along beautifully with dogs of all sizes. He’s the perfect combination of playful and laid-back, always happy to have some fun but just as content to relax and enjoy life. A little more about our handsome Lincoln: 5–6 years old and approximately 70 pounds Bloodhound/Redbone Coonhound mix Dog-friendly with pups big and small Loves toys and playtime Fully house-trained Crate-trained but trustworthy enough that he doesn’t need to be crated Walks nicely on a leash Recovered beautifully from hip surgery Sweet, gentle, and easygoing Oh, and did we mention he SINGS?! In true hound fashion, Lincoln likes to serenade his humans at breakfast AND dinner! He’s got a song in his heart and isn’t afraid to let everyone know when it’s mealtime. Lincoln has already overcome so much, and through it all, he’s remained the sweetest, happiest boy. He doesn’t ask for much — just a family to love, some toys to play with, good meals (preferably served with a song ), and a soft place to land. He’s had his second chance at life. Now he just needs someone to give him his happily ever after. Interested in adopting Lincoln? Story
Bo is a cuddle bug and loves a good comfy couch. He’s protective of his people and home. He loves a good blanket cuddles but not so much of a fan of our toddler. He’s great with adults and older kids but not great with young children as he shows his teeth and growls. We love him dearly and want him to be able to be comfortable and not so stressed.
