Story
Rhodie is an 8 month old, 40 lb Redbone Coonhound mix. Foster mom says he is a goofy puppy who wants to play and cuddle. He gets along with the other dogs in his foster home, and he has learned to leave them alone if they aren't interested in playing. He loves stuffed toys, but he can de-stuff them in no time, so best to stay with the sturdier toys. He also loves to play fetch, and will bring the ball back most of the time. He is still working on "releasing" the ball! Rhodie is super interested in the squirrels in the backyard, and gives his best effort to climb the tree to reach them. Fortunately for the squirrels, he hasn't succeeded in climbing the tree. Rhodie doesn't live with kids, but we think he would be ok with kids over the age of 6. He walks fairly well on leash, but needs a little more training and practice. He is housebroken and crate trained. Rhodie lives to hug and give kisses. He will make a great companion for an individual or family. Please submit your application, and an adoption counselor will contact you.

Story
Allow me to introduce Edgar who I fondly call “Ole Dan.” He is a gorgeous red young boy. He is so sweet and loves to please. Dan would much rather act like a lap dog or sleep on the bed with you! As an old puppy / young boy, he is very well behaved. The exception would be his drive to explore so a good fence is a must. He loves water, tummy rubs, does not believe bunnies should be in his yard, and prefers you being home. This boy is not really food driven but does appreciate a nice treat. For his age, he is awesome and should turn into an excellent adult boy with a little more time and training. Falling for Edgar! retrieveafriend.org/adoptVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 2, 2026, 4:59 pm
