Allow me to introduce Edgar who I fondly call “Ole Dan.” He is a gorgeous red young boy. He is so sweet and loves to please. While he is not fond of his crate, it can be used. Dan would much rather act like a lap dog or sleep on the bed with you! As an old puppy / young boy, he is very well behaved. The exception would be his drive to explore so a good fence is a must , he does come back eventually. He loves water, hates cars, loves tummy rubs, does not believe bunnies should be in his yard and prefers you being home. This boy is not really food driven but does appreciate a nice treat. For his age, he is awesome and should turn into an excellent adult hound with a little training. Clifford, a handsome BIG RED DOG, is a Redbone Coonhound mix. His good looks turns heads!! He's about 2 years old and weighs 70 pounds. He is neutered, utd on vaccinations, HW negative, on preventatives and microchipped! Clifford is a little shy when meeting new people but once he learns to trust he will be your best friend! He was a dumped stray so we don't know anything about his past. We do know that if his forever family has the patience to help him conquer his rears, he will reward them with his true goofy personality that loves to play, get treats and scratches behind his ears. Clifford would be fine as your only dog or would benefit from having a confident dog his size or bigger to play with. Sturdy, older children would be great too! A home without cats is recommended. Clifford is house and crate trained too! A fenced yard (appropriate for his size) and vet a reference are required. FROM THE FOSTER: The Vet estimated his age to be between 1 ½ to 2 years old. He is neutered, current on all vaccinations and microchipped. He is also house trained. One of the foster's Boston Terriers is 1 ½ and the two of them get along great, play together all the time and have never had an issue. Two older Boston's are not as crazy about him. They get jealous when he gets the attention. His personality is so sweet, he just wants attention and to be loved on. He gets very excited each morning when my wife gets up and is vocal in that special loud hound dog way. He is very sweet and loves to be cuddled and tries to climb on us like the little ones do. Because of being abandoned, he can be a little anxious if one of his foster's is gone. Jack will need a home where at least one someone is there all the time. Jack loves playing with Wubbas or any other rag type toy. He plays by himself by running around the yard and throwing the toy in the air. The older bostons sometimes do play tug-of-war with him and will chase him all over the yard trying to take the toys from him. His typical day is laying on the porch, couch, or in my chair while my wife is working. Then running around the yard and playing with the toys when she gets a break. Once I get home we all go out and throw the toys for all the dogs to fetch, chase each other, and play tug-of-war. Each night he will sleep on a dog bed in our room, or on the couch in my wife’s spot.

Story

AIDEN's owner brought him home as a puppy and kept him on a chain his whole life. We were able to bring him into our group a few months ago. Since then he has blossomed! He cannot believe he can run and play to his heart's content. He was a little afraid of toys at first, but now he LOVES to play fetch. He is kennel trained and is very happy in his big, 54" kennel with his own window to look out of. We are introducing him to other dogs now and he is learning how to play and be a dog. Although Aiden's major breed is a Plott Hound (a large dog), Aiden is 45 pounds and full grown. He has several other hound breeds in him as well.
