Story
Sinbad is a handsome, approximately 9-year-old mix of Rhodesian Ridgeback and Mountain Cur, weighing about 75 pounds Sinbad has spent his entire life on a horse farm surrounded by animals and family. He has lived with horses, cats, chickens, and another dog with whom he gets along well. He’s comfortable around horses, although he does enjoy trying to chase the chickens and cats if given the opportunity.   Sinbad loves being outside. Playing fetch and Frisbee are some of his favorite activities, and he always enjoys going for walks. As he’s gotten older, he’s become even more affectionate. A true definition of a lap dog, he loves hard. He absolutely loves attention from his people and will happily roll onto his back for belly rubs and cuddles. He especially enjoys relaxing in bed with the adults in the house and simply being close to his family.   Sinbad has grown up with four children and, for many years, showed incredible patience as they played with him, hugged him, and climbed all over him. As he’s entered his senior years, however, he prefers a quieter lifestyle and has less tolerance for the constant activity that comes with a busy household of young children.   One thing that’s important to know about Sinbad is that he has always displayed some resource-guarding tendencies with high-value items like his balls, toys, and bones. Once he’s finished playing fetch and takes his ball to settle down, he prefers to be left alone with it. Because of this, he would do best with owners who understand canine body language and are willing to simply give him his space when he has something he considers valuable.   His present family has grown over the years, and with children now ages 2, 4, 9, and 11, his home has become much busier than it was when Sinbad was younger. While he still craves attention and affection, he no longer enjoys the constant hustle and bustle. Now,  he deserves a quieter home where he can be the center of someone’s world again.   Sinbad would thrive in an adult-only home or one with older, dog-savvy children who understand and respect his boundaries. He would make a wonderful companion for a single person, couple, or retired family looking for a loyal, loving dog to share their days with. He has so much love to give and simply wants a peaceful home where he can enjoy walks, snuggles, belly rubs, and all the attention he deserves.   (posted 4/5/26, RH)  Adoption Fee:  $100.00  July 21, 2026, 8:20 pm

Story
Asta is firmly planted in the "awwww he's so cute" category and would certainly be soaking up all the petting if he wasn't shy about being in the spotlight . He’s an under-the-radar kind of heartthrob who dreams of living large, he just needs low-key cheerleading, and high value treats to help him find his groove. He'll live his best life having a doggie friend for confidence and play. If yours would like a brother,he could be the missing link to your pack! As a devoted member of the "Girls Club" he has a soft spot for the ladies being a mama’s boy through and through. If you have a fondness for a bashful boy, Asta would appreciate the chance to charm his way into your heart. Cared for in a foster home, he's crate/house trained, good with cats, fenced yard essential. Est. birthdate is 10/20/2024, 50 lbs., his $300 adoption fee includes vaccines up to date, neuter and microchip.
