Story
I'm Teddy, your certified 90lb Lap Dog! I am equally energetic as I am sleepy! I LOVE PLAYING but also LOVE SLEEPING. My favorite things are cuddling, eating snacks, going on walks and playing! I'd probably do best as an only dog. General Socialization Notes: I am good at doing lots of cues as long as there's food and snacks involved. I do need work on jumping up on new friends, humans OR dogs. I am kennel trained, potty trained, and can shake! I do like to jump on counter tops and like to steal cardboard when you're not looking but we're working on that. Does Teddy like other animals? I like being around other dogs until I need to compete for attention. I am cautious around other male dogs no matter the size so being the only dog in the home is preferred. I seem to do well around cats and female dogs but I would most definitely thrive as getting all the love & attention from my humans. Does Teddy like children? I like children to play with but I have a hard time holding back and can become very energetic and little ones may not like that. Kids who understand boundaries are recommended. I'd prefer a home with children 12 years old and older. Favorite Toys: My favorite toys are rubber Kong toys of ANY sort, balls, or Frisbees. I need toys where I can't destroy/eat them. I'm a super chewer. I do well with Kongs filled with peanut butter or cheese. Ideal Forever Home: My ideal forever home would include a big backyard with a tall fence, no young animals or critters hanging around. I would do best as an only dog so I could get all the love from my humans. I tend to favor women over men, however I would do fine with a man. I am incredibly loyal!

Story
MEET CHAI! Chai is a 3-year-old, 53-lb Catahoula mix who is as sweet and affectionate as they come. This handsome boy truly loves being close to his people and feels happiest when he can see what his humans are up to.Chai prefers not to be left alone and does best when his crate is set up in a room where he can feel included—he just wants to be part of the family. He’s a smart, eager-to-please pup who already knows sit, down, and even an adorable “play dead” trick! He’ll also spin in a circle on a hand signal and enjoys showing off his skills, especially when food is involved.Chai appears to be house trained and gets along well with other dogs of all sizes. He’s playful and would love a dog buddy who actually wants to romp and play with him. He likes kids and has not yet been tested with cats.On leash, Chai can be a bit of a puller, but with consistency and positive reinforcement (especially treats!), he should improve quickly. If you’re looking for a loyal, people-loving companion with brains, personality, and a big heart, Chai is your guy. Located in Houston, TX Transport available to most states for a $300 fee
