Story
Riley is a sweet girl who will cuddle with you on the couch at any time. She was a foster before us. Before that was being bred as a hunting dog. She was kept in a cage early in her life a lot, and tends to be cautious of new people when out on a walk. She is very pack oriented and loves her family and that’s all she needs. She is not aggressive towards other dogs but she does not want or need interaction with them. She likes to be by herself or with her family. She is great with kids, walks calmly on the leash with them. Her one quirk is that she really only likes to go to the bathroom at her home, so don’t expect her to poop or pee on a walk. She will pee on a long walk but keeps the other movements for at home. A fenced yard is a must for her. She loves the outside and playin but feels most comfortable with the fence as a barrier. She is a wonderful pet who deserves all the love. We are having our 4th child and know she deserves more attention than we are able to give currently.

Story
Meet Twinkle, the 3-year-old, 43-pound sparkler who’s ready to light up your life! This shy and sweet girl is ready to leave her traumatic past behind her and find her forever human to show her what love, patience and kindness is. Twinkle is incredibly sweet with people she trusts, always ready to shower you with affection and brighten your day. Sweet Twinkle has been living with our dog trainer since September 1, 2025. She's crate trained, walks politely on a leash, rides beautifully in the car and LOVES people she trusts! She's discovered that living inside is wonderful and has enjoyed living in a family environment (rather than outside or in a crowded kennel). She's also found that toys are super fun to play with! Twinkle was rescued from life on a heavy chain, living outside without access to food, water or reasonable shelter. Her previous owner was arrested on animal cruelty charges. Although we don't know for sure what Twinkle endured we do know that she'll need her new owner to understand that she'll take a little time to get used to her new home and be patient with her.
