Story
Meet Oswald, a gentle giant with a heart as big as his frame. This lovable fellow is believed to be a fun blend of Rhodesian Ridgeback and Great Dane, though it is his Ridgeback side that shines through most prominently. His coat boasts a striking red sable coloring, a rich blend of reddish- brown with distinctive black-tipped fur and a stunning face mask. Although he is a larger dog, Oswald exudes a certain grace that is a joy to watch. His eyes, large and inquisitive, reflect the kindness and intelligence that radiates from within. Oswald's affectionate nature is undeniable; he's quick to offer love and companionship to anyone and everyone he meets. While Oswald's size and exuberance may require a bit of understanding, especially with smaller children, his amiable nature makes him a wonderful companion for families with prior experience handling larger breeds. This delightful pup enjoys the companionship of other dogs, once they have been properly introduced. He has had some struggles with dog reactivity, but is doing great with training, and will only continue to improve with a consistent, patient, and strong owner. He has not spent much time inside around cats, but is comfortable seeing and walking near them while on outside. When it comes to care, Oswald is fine with a quiet day inside, but also loves to get out, whether it’s the beach or a local walking trail. On walks, he's a model of composure, walking wonderfully on leash and very responsive to corrections. In essence, Oswald is an absolute sweetheart just looking for his forever people. Story
I am a sweet, pretty girl just looking for my forever family and a home to call my own! Unfortunately, I ended up here in the shelter after being found as a stray. I might seem a little bit shy at first, but once I get to know you, I promise to give you my whole heart. I have an overall friendly demeanor, a heart full of love, and a gentle spirit. I walk nicely on a leash and appear to be already housebroken! I am all about the simple pleasures in life - a nice walk by your side, some belly rubs, and quiet time together. I am sweet as can be and just waiting for someone to shower me with love and loyalty. Could that be you? Weighs around 75 lbs - House-trained! - Walks well on a leash! - Very affectionate

Story
Poochie is 3 years old. We adopted her from the humane society when she was 9 months. We believe her to be a black mouth cur. She is very sweet, however not friendly with all dogs. She is very energetic and needs a younger owner than us as we are in our 70s. She needs more exercise than we can give her. My husband has progressively gotten worse with his arthritis and is no longer steady on his feet. Poochie is strong and although trained not to jump on people she does at times push against his legs to play. We are afraid it may cause a fall. We do not cage her. She has never gone to the bathroom in our home even if we have been gone for 12 hours. She is not a barker unless someone comes around the house or sees another dog. She loves to ride in the car. We hope to find someone who can play and give her the attention she deserves..
