Story
Gunnie’s story with us actually started from the very beginning—he came through our doors as a tiny newborn puppy alongside his amazing mama (and if you could've seen her, you'd know where he gets his sweetness from!). Now at nearly 8 months old, Gunnie has found his way back to us, and we’re getting to know the young dog he’s becoming. Gunnie is a sensitive, gentle soul who’s still figuring out that the world isn’t such a scary place. New people and situations can make him nervous at first, and he may give a few little “boof” barks while trying his best to look big and brave. But don’t be fooled—his tough act melts quickly. With a little patience (and maybe a few tasty treats), Gunnie will crouch, crawl, and wiggle his way right into your lap for comfort and love. Once he feels safe, his true personality shines through: incredibly sweet, affectionate, and eager to bond with his people. Gunnie is the kind of dog who will form a deep connection with someone willing to guide him and show him that life can be fun and safe. He does have a hearty appetite and will need a slow feeder to help him pace himself at mealtime—but honestly, that just adds to his goofy charm. Gunnie is looking for a patient, understanding home that will help build his confidence and continue his journey. With a little time and encouragement, we truly believe he will grow into one of the most loving (and cutest!) companions you could ever ask for—especially with that irresistible underbite of his. If you’re ready to help a shy pup blossom and want a loyal best friend by your side, Gunnie might just be your perfect match.
