Story
Coconut’s favorite pastimes include snugs and hugs, sniffing around the yard, chewing bones and tossing toys up in the air to play with by herself. Here’s more about Coconut:🥥 Almost 2 years old, a lean 55lbs, Viszla mix🥥 Potty trained and will ask to go out. 🥥 Doesn’t love a crate (and doesn’t really need one) but will go in with treats and will settle down after a while. She’s 10/10 when left free in the house while her foster mom is at work all day. 🥥 Best in a child-free home, but could do ok with older kids (13+) that are calm and respectful when engaging with her. 🥥 Great with other dogs, would benefit from a confident dog friend to help her with some anxiety🥥 Pretty good with dog-friendly cats. She likes to sniff them and get all up in their business, but redirects well. 🥥 Improving leash manners. She’s very interested in other dogs on their walks and will show off her big bark to get their attention. 🥥 Currently being tapered off anxiety medication to see how she does without it (she was showing signs of moderate aggression toward young kids in her previous home, and resource guarding around food). Donatello's favorite color is Purple, favorite food is Pizza and the Gentlest Dog. Donatello was a shelter favorite in Lufkin (Eastern Texas) and thanks to many volunteers found his way to us in Rescue. He was neutered, vaccinated and required Heartworm treatment before getting ready for Adoption. Donatello is fostered with dogs of all sizes and personalities, he is a passive dog and avoids all conflicts. He could be an only dog or in a pack. He is crate trained but shows his breed - by spinning and circling his crate before laying down. He is not destructive, Quiet and Observant. Guessed to be 2-3 years old. He is 68 lbs and lean, long tail with a short double coat. Labeled a Doberman at the shelter, we see more Vizsla or hunting breed in him. He is a mixed breed dog in a deep red color. Rescue does not complete DNA testing. FOSTERED IN TEXAS. *Adoption Fee includes transport options to PNW, Midwest or NY-NJ-CT-VA-VT states by pet transport partners. Email to Apply!
