Meet a sweet, loving girl searching for her forever home. She adores people, especially kids, and would do best with children 7 and older since she gets excited and may jump up to say hello. She may bark at strangers at first, but quickly warms up and rolls over for belly rubs. Phoenix loves exploring, sniffing, and spending time outdoors. A home with room to roam would be ideal, though she’s also happy with regular walks and adventures. She’s athletic and can jump a standard chain-link fence, so a secure yard is important. She has lived peacefully with a small Chihuahua mix and was best friends with a neighbor’s senior dog. However, she has had conflicts with our Beagle, so we believe she would be happiest as the only dog in the home. She is a very sweet companion with so much love to give. We want nothing more than to find her a home where she will be cherished, cared for, and loved for the rest of her life.

She is a Rhodesian Ridgeback mix who packs a lot of goodness into a single package and she’s desperately searching for a forever home, full of playfulness, snuggles, and loads of love. * She is super friendly * She is heartworm negative * She is UTD on his vaccines and preventatives * S\he simply can’t wait to meet YOU!! Are you looking for a loyal companion to love and play with? Zulu is your gal! All she asks for is a stable home with a loving family. She merely needs someone to open their home to her so she can steal their heart. Could you be that someone? Currently this sweet baby is with our rescue, The Artemis Project, in Arkansas. We DO, however, transport monthly to the metro Detroit area of MI. Because we’re able to transport, we ARE able to accept adoption applications directly from residents of MI. Why do we transport? Because animal overpopulation is severe in our region, and stray and unwanted dogs have very little chance of finding a home here. These babies are, however, at a high risk of being neglected, abused, abandoned, euthanized or even shot (it’s “the way things are done” for some people down here). YOU are truly one of the only safe and happy endings for the lucky ones we are able to rescue. Upon approval of your adoption application, we will then transport your new furbaby to you in the metro Detroit area for just a small travel expense fee of $50 in addition to the adoption fee. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal.
