Frankie (born 3/28/2022) is still a puppy, only now he weighs 45 pounds and growing… Frankie grew up in apartment, but really needs a home with a yard, where he can run and play! Frankie is a very friendly, loving boy who has the best time playing with his toys and when he is meeting people and being petted. He also loves training with treats and compliments! Frankie is looking for a home where he will get good exercise and the attention and training he enjoys! Bonus, Frankie is housebroken! We really appreciate that you want to give a shelter animal a home. The Humane Society of New York was founded in 1904. The Vladimir Horowitz/Wanda Toscanini Horowitz Adoption Center is a no-kill shelter. Our on-site clinic and staff of skilled Veterinarians looks after the health and well-being of every animal here. My name is Waffles. There is so much to say about me... I have had such a great experience in my foster home. I have learned so so much and wow - I am good at so many things. Here is my summary though and I hope you will reach out to ASCZ for more details. I am great in the crate... I go in on command and I am fine being in my crate as needed. I am housebroken. I am good on leash (I don't even pull too much)! I will pull if I see something I want to get but I am controllable for sure. I live with a few dogs of all different personalities and genders - small, big, young, old. I respect them each in their own way and have great dog to dog communication. I know basic commands and respond well to treats. I am very food motivated and therefore super trainable. I would really enjoy a fenced in yard where I can run around and play! I am also a complete love and ask for belly rubs often. I also like to spread out and spend time on my back. LOL. I am a mix of boxer/bulldog and Staffordshire terrier. I could have some Rhodesian in me too. I am super handsome and my eyes are two different colors. One is dark brown and one is light. I have been waiting a long time at a chance for my forever home. Kambria is a rambunctious almost 1 year old female, mixed breed (she appears to have Rhodesian Ridgeback traits) dog. Kambria is a smaller dog, with super puppy energy! She needs lots of room to run and play. Kambria is still working on not jumping on people, and learning to walk on a leash. She will need someone who is calm and patient with her while she is still learning. She is good with other dogs! She may still be a little too boisterous for smaller children, so she would do better with kids who are older (5+). She will excel in an active home with other dogs. Kambria is heartworm negative, and will be up to date on vaccinations, spayed and microchipped. Kambria needs a family that will teach her the good life and give her all the wonderful things a dog deserves! We use the most animal-friendly transport on the road. Rescue Riders Pet Transport.

  Meet Ellie, a 2-year-old mix of Rhodesian Ridgeback and Hound! She has reached her mature weight of 45 pounds. She wears a short, brown and red coat that is nice to stroke! Ellie was found wandering the streets and was picked up by a nice woman who brought her to us. Ellie loves to play with people (including kids) and other dogs! She enjoys going on walks and getting belly rubs! And did we mention how much she loves running around in the yard? Ellie would make a great adventure buddy! Quinn (Quincy's sister) is a 1 year old, 40 pound mix of Rhodesian Ridgeback and Beagle, a beautiful combination.  If you look closely, you can see the ridge on her back which is formed by a line of her hair going in the opposite direction from the rest of the coat.  The Beagle in her is very easy to spot in that she has the looks and markings.  Her colors of light tan and white are light and soft.
