Meet Wrong Turn !! He came in as a stray on 8/26/26. We think he is about 2 years old. We couldn't get this big guy to smile for his pictures. You will have to take our word for it, but he is a very mellow and sweet guy. He walks very easy on a leash. He doesn't like the other dogs barking at him, so maybe that is why he thinks he has to look like a tough guy. Hopefully, once he feels more comfortable we can get some smiles out of him. He knows how to sit and he likes treats, but he wasn't interested in toys. He is available for adoption so hurry in to meet him! Wrong Turn is located at the Richland County Dog Shelter in Mansfield, OH. Phone is 419-774-5892 It is an application process. You can request one via dogs@richlandcountyoh.gov

Pearl is a good girl, but need lots more attention than she gets here. She has a very dominant nature. My MIL found her and we took her in, but she has gotten strong and no one puts the effort in to train her beyond the basics.

Story
Zayla is a Black Mouth Cur mix believed to have been born in March 2025. We rescued her in June 2025 after finding her stuck in a fence, and she has been a beloved member of our family ever since. She is house and crate trained and knows sit, stay, lay down, spring, and “abwa” (bark). Zayla is loyal, affectionate, intelligent, and very easy to train. She loves all activities, needs plenty of exercise and mental stimulation, and enjoys chasing animals, which is typical for her breed. She does well with our Belgian Malinois and has never shown aggression toward people, though she is protective of her home and family.After having our son, she became territorial around the baby, and we feel she would be happiest in a home without young children.This has been an extremely difficult and heartbreaking decision because we love Zayla very much. Shes truly a great dog with so much love and energy to give.
