Energy Level: Medium Dog Friendly: Yes, and can have other dogs in the home or can be an only dog.  He tries to establish dominance with large male dogs so a more submissive dog would likely be a better fit. Cat Friendly: Yes Kid Friendly: Yes, any age.  He loves kids & has been around them most of his life. Apartment Friendly: No Physical Fence Requirement: Physical fence not required Crate Trained: No, but working on it Potty Trained: Yes, he will let you know when he needs to use the bathroom Likes: Loves walks, car rides, Nylabones, balls, any kind of petting and attention, giving kisses if you sit on the floor, running outside, going for hikes Dislikes: Not a fan of crates or being left alone in confined spaces, loud noises & large crowds (walks in the store are okay, parades are not). Allergic to chicken. Ideal Home/Adopter: An ideal home would have a bit of land or large fenced yard for him to roam freely. He loves cuddling and thinks he is a lap dog, but is gentle enough when the person is small. He may love having another dog but probably close to the same age and energy level as him. He can sometimes get the "zoomies" when playing outside or has been out for a while and comes in.  What makes this dog special: He is one of the best protectors and lovers we've met. He loves people of all ages. He is also good at self-entertaining & likes to sled in the snow. Loves playing games but also a good listener when you need him to just lay down. Grady's adoption fee is $350. All fees include spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations, worming, flea and heartworm current. Meet Ami! Due to overcrowding, Miss Ami was scheduled for euthanization but we were able to "pull" this very sweet girl and she is now fully vetted and ready for adoption! Ami is a 53 pound, two-year-old (approximate DOB 03/12/21) Rhodesian Ridgeback mix. She is crate and potty-trained. Ami does well with other dogs, cats and children but due to her playful nature we recommend she go to a home with older children. She DOES require a 6' fenced yard as she is a fence jumper and would clear a 4' fence. Ami is great on leash and loves to go on long walks. She is doing super with basic commands. Her foster mom calls her "Wiggle Butt". Ami loves, loves, loves her people, is quite the cuddle bug, and would make a great addition to almost any home/family. Hi! My name is ROSIE and I am looking for my new home!II am a super sweet, affectionate 4 + year old gal and I weigh 65 pounds. Based on my DNA results, I am 75% Rhodesian Ridgeback and 25% German Shorthaired Pointer mix (see my DNA results picture).House trained! Crate trained! Leash trained! I am a very loving, friendly, and snuggly with my people and I often follow my people around. Whenever I see my family, I wags my whole backend with excitement.:)When I am not snuggling on the couch with my family, I love to play or go on a walk. Spending time playing or going on a walk/jog with me helps gets my playful energy out. I am an athletic energetic girl who has even had some training jumping obstacles!When I meet new people that arent my family members, I can come across as aloof but give me a little time to adjust and then I quickly warm up they will become my people too and my personality will shine!I really prefer to be the only dog in the home. Also, no cats please! I have lived with older children in my foster home and I get along with neighborhood children and visiting family members.On walks, I tend to get along with most dogs my size when properly introduced but do not do well with smaller or medium sizes dogs. For that reason, I should have a fenced yard where I can run and play.Although I am a big girl, I love laps and sure like to cuddle! Did I mention that I love walks and playing? Meet Hank!   Hank is a 45 lbs mixed breed pup (possibly Ridgeback mix?), who we think is about 2 years old. He came from a farm where he lived outdoors his whole life with very little human contact. As a result, Hank is still trying to figure out life as a house dog, but he’s coming along slowly. He was much too scared/overstimulated for our prison program so we removed him and now he’s settling into a foster home. There are times when he’s the bright and bubbly pup pictured below, and then other times he’s hiding in a corner away from people, not wanting to be touched.   We’re not sure if Hank will ever be a “normal”, social dog but we know he has love to give. He seeks out attention from his foster mom and gets along amazingly well with her dogs. We are worried about him getting too comfortable there and then moving him again, so we would be open to moving him to a VERY accommodating and patient foster-to-adopt him now. This home would need a secure fence and another dog in the home - two things we don’t think Hank can live without!   If you are interested in providing this safe space for Hank to blossom, please submit an application on our website and we’ll discuss it with you: www.prodogsohio.org/adoptables.
