Hi! My name is Jocasta. I’m a sweet girl who just wants love, cuddles, and attention. I love spending time outside playing in the yard or going for a nice stroll around the neighborhood. I’m very friendly on the leash and enjoy being with people so much that I don’t want to go back to my kennel—I just want to stay close to you. I’m selective with other dogs and do well with kids, though I’m not sure about cats yet. I’m ready for a loving home where I can get plenty of hugs and affection.To adopt one of our animals, please visit our shelter, open Tuesday-Friday from Noon-5pm and Saturday from Noon-4pm. You may also submit an application online from our website at http://www.HelpTheAnimalsINC.com/adopt.

Story
We rescued Meleys from the local shelter 3 years ago. Not much was known of her before she arrived at the shelter other than she was guessed to be around a year old. She is a very smart dog. Only took about two weeks to house train her. She can get moody at times and will take her sweet time listening to you. She loves new people and can get a little over excited but will calm down after she gets her attention. She absolutely loves the outdoors. Rain or shine, hot or cold she just loves the outside. This is why we must rehome her. A loss of job has forced us to move into an apartment instead of the house we are currently in. She will be horrible if she is confined to a smaller place without a yard to run in. This with the loss of income has made it so that we can’t give her the home she deserves. She did take apaquel for skin allergies but we have fallen behind on it and her shots. We have kept up with flea and tick prevention but that is all. Rehome fee is negotiable.
