Hi...I'm Max.
I've learned that life can change in the blink of an eye.
For many years, I had a person who loved me. Then one day, they were gone, and my whole world turned upside down. It wasn't anyone's fault, but it left me wondering where I belonged.
The nice people at the rescue promised me that my story isn't over—that somewhere out there is another family who will love me just as much.
I'm about 7 or 8 years old, around 45 pounds, and I think I'm at the perfect age. I've outgrown all that puppy nonsense, but I still get excited for walks, adventures, and especially a chance to splash around in a creek or river. Give me cool water and I'm one happy guy!
I'm a quiet fella when we first meet. New people can make me a little nervous, so I appreciate someone who lets me say hello at my own pace. Once I know I'm safe, though, my whole heart is yours. I'm the loyal, always-by-your-side kind of dog.
If you already have dogs, even better! I absolutely adore them. Big dogs, little dogs...I think everyone deserves a friend. Having a canine buddy around would make me feel right at home.
I'm potty trained, walk nicely on a leash, and already know how to be a respectful housemate. I don't need much—just a soft bed, some love, and someone who won't mind sharing a little bit of life with me.
I've lost one family, and I hope my next one is forever.
