Meet Rusty—a loyal, loving senior dog with a heart full of memories. At around 13 years old, he’s been with our family through everything—from cross-country moves to marriage to welcoming a child. Adopted at 6 months old, he’s deeply bonded and incredibly devoted. Rusty is easygoing and enjoys the simple things: eating, sleeping, and greeting you with excitement when you come home. He still has bursts of puppy energy and loves to explore. He also takes his role as “protector” seriously—especially when it comes to the mailman. As he’s gotten older, Rusty prefers a calm, predictable home. With a young child who is very grabby, we’ve realized he would be happiest in a quieter environment. Rusty would thrive with someone looking for a gentle, devoted companion to share his golden years.
