Story
Description Jake 4-5 years 52lbs Heartworm Negative Neutered Jake was rescued as part of a cruelty case where multiple dogs were taken. The dogs were sadly all starving, chained up and living among filth. Thankfully the courts sided in our favor and we were able to rescue 3 of them. Given his background, we have been amazed at his transition! From dog testing, meeting new people, taking treats gently, he is a good boy. Jake is just a handsome boy that is oh so sweet! He dog tested well. Very people friendly. Jake recently moved into a foster home and so far he’s having a blast exploring all the new things! Jake loves food and treats. He’s gentle when taking treats. He doesn’t show much interest in toys but he really likes Kongs or the lickable type of toys with some peanut butter. Jake is currently sleeping indoors in a crate and he’s had no potty accidents! He sleeps quietly thru the night aside from the occasional light snoring but that just adds to his charm, lol! He’s also crated indoors when we’re not home. Jake may have some opinions when he is first crated but he settles down pretty quick. While the crate isn’t his first choice in places to be, he will easily run in if you throw a treat inside. Jake really enjoys being outside but he also likes being inside exploring the house. Jake is hesitant getting in the car but once he’s in, he rides well. Currently uses a dog seatbelt. He pulls a bit when walking but he’s not hard to walk. He’s just excited to be able to explore! Jake has overcome so much in his life yet he remains full of love and hope. After all he’s been through, he deserves the absolute best. He deserves a family who will not only care for him, but truly love him the way he deserves to be loved. A family that will show him patience and grace as he learns. Jake deserves the world. Jake is ready to meet the people who will finally show him what it means to be safe, loved, and truly in his home

Story
How or why Annie has been overlooked, we can’t imagine?! She is a lover and sweetest girly. A little shy at first, that quickly changes once you shower her with some loves. She adores giving gentle kisses. Annie Oakley (Annie O): Annie is an adorable girl, learning all about the big world! Annie started life out as a stray, but thankfully ended up with us! Annie is great around other dogs and even cats! Annie also loves children and has been around several ages. She will startle with loud noises. She will use a doggie door to potty outside and will also use puppy pads inside if needed. Annie is still working on crate training, she is confined to a smaller room when her fosters aren’t home and will sleep on a dog bed at night. Annie is a little unsure of some men at first, but warms up quickly. We are working on leash training and car rides. She arrived to us covered in fleas and obviously having had a rough start. Annie is a very sweet and a playful baby girl. She loves belly rubs, scratches, and kisses!

Story
Sky Female Husky Mix ~4yrs 50 lbs Heartworm negative Spayed Update 2: Sky is a lovely rescue dog with a range of wonderful qualities. Her bright blue eyes are truly enchanting, and her happy personality makes her a joy to be around. As a low-maintenance dog, Sky is easy to care for, and she gets along well with both dogs and cats. She walks nicely on a leash and is comfortable sleeping in a crate. Sky's salt and pepper coat is soft and attractive, and she loves spending time with people. She is fed in her crate and getting into a great routine in foster care quickly. Given her background and history, we are amazed at how well she is adapting. Her skin is still healing up and she continue to gain weight, but she is well on her way to becoming the beautiful dog she should have always been. Update: Sky is officially ours and will never have to go back to her previous life of hell. She is gaining so much weight and her skin looks great. Healing and leaving all that behind her. She has been moved into foster care now, so we are getting to know more about her! _______________________________________________________________ Recently the Sheriff’s office worked a cruelty case, where 4 dogs were taken. All are extremely sweet, very friendly with people. Two sadly did not dog test well, but these two did! So we are hoping to find them placement, as they can’t be boarded any longer, now that the judge has ruled in our favor and awarded their custody to us. The owner has thru tomorrow to file an appeal, so we need a plan in place asap so they arent euthanized. Sky-female, husky mix, maybe 3-4yrs old, 41lbs. Friendly girl, also very skinny and skin was eaten up from all the fleas/ticks. Dog tested well! Her right hip is dislocated, so she sadly will need an FHO. Her one hip was previously broken and is out of socket :( We have a vet here in Tx who quoted $2,000 to do the FHO/spay her. HW negative, dhlpp, RV, proheart, Bordatella, fecal, and simparica have all been given.
