Say hello to Fiji!Fiji is a spunky girl with lots of wiggles and hops! She still has a lot of puppy energy and needs some basic training. She gets very excited about saying hello and tends to jump up towards people. Fiji walks well on the leash with a harness.Fiji has shown interest in other dogs, but has not yet had the chance to play with other dogs in shelter. We think she could do well with slow introductions. Fiji would likely do well with another high energy dog, but that has not yet been tested.Fiji is still awaiting a spay surgery. Interested adopters would need to be able to take her to a spay appointment in Abbotsford on September 15th. After that spay appointment, Fiji can be fully adopted. Dog meets are by appointment only. My name is Bear and here is a little info about me:Breed: RottweilerAge: 3.5 yrsGender: maleWeight: 75 lbsHeight: tbdHighlights: extremely loving, affectionate, curious, energeticLot of energy, this may help...https://links.goodpup.com/shelter/LALDR I am extremely loving and affectionate. My first owner bought me from a breeder with the intent of breeding me. They did not train me or exercise me so I got my energy out the only way a puppy can, by getting into mischief. This resulted in me being kept in a crate or a tiny hallway with the door shut. I was even hit on occasion resulting in me being very timid around the people who should have been showing me love. Once I was no longer a puppy my family lost all interest in me to the point that I was very close to being euthanized. I wisely ran away and found a loving person who contacted LALDR who immediately took me in. I am now in a foster home and am deliriously happy there.  I love meeting new people and other dogs and I am a bit too curious about cats so a home without a cat would be great. I am a very gentle and loving soul. My first foster mom said I am just about perfect except that her cat wouldn't come home when I was there. I was moved to a marvelous home with my foster dad and his other couple of dogs and I'm fitting in well.  I love going for walks so an active home would suit me best I am a high energy dog. My foster mom is helping me learn my leash manners.  House trained: Yes. Health notes:  I am small for my breed. It is possible my growth was stunted by poor nutrition and by living in a crate too small for me. So I am a mini Rottweiler and just as cute as can be.  My adoption fee is $800 plus taxes. I will be neutered, vaccinated and microchipped prior to adoption.  ##1798603##
