Story
Meet Lucky – Your Big-Hearted Best Friend in the Making! 🐾 Lucky is a handsome young Rottweiler cross with a heart as big as his paws! This sweet boy is full of charm and ready to bring love and laughter into the right home. He’s friendly, easy to handle, and loves to be around people—whether you’re going for a walk, hanging out in the backyard, or just relaxing on the couch, Lucky's your guy. He’s great on leash, loves playtime, and is always up for a game of fetch or a good belly rub. Lucky has already mastered some basic manners and is eager to keep learning, especially when treats are involved (which he thinks are amazing). That said, Lucky does have one quirk we’re working on: he’s not a fan of people getting too close to his food or food bowl. It’s called resource guarding, and while it’s something many dogs experience, he’ll do best in a home that understands his boundaries and is committed to helping him feel safe and secure around mealtimes. Because of this, we recommend a home without small children and one that can provide him a calm, structured environment. Lucky would thrive with someone who has experience with dogs or is willing to work with a trainer to help him continue growing into his best self. He has so much potential—and so much love to give. ✔️ Friendly & affectionate ✔️ Easy to handle ✔️ Young & eager to learn ✔️ Best in an adult-only home ✔️ Looking for someone to respect his food space If you’re ready to open your heart to a loyal, loving companion with a little extra personality, come meet Lucky! He might just be the perfect match you’ve been waiting for.

Story
Winston is a loyal, playful, smart, sensitive, obedient, loving goofball. He has quirks and requires an experienced owner. Someone calm, compassionate, confident, assertive, patient, consistent. He is 4 yrs old. He has epilepsy with cyclical seizures every 3-4mths, no specific trigger. He takes medication 2x daily. He has mild dysplasia in his hip and elbows and abnormal shoulder joints. All asymptomatic but something to be aware of for arthritis in future. For now, hes super fit, strong and bouncy. Winston has behavioural issues. He must be muzzled at the vet due to past trauma. Its hard to trim his nails. He doesnt like being pet when indoors but likes it from pack members once he trusts them. He gave a warning bite recently and is now muzzled in unfamiliar indoor places. With his sitter, or outdoors, this behaviour is absent. His sitter is a great leader. I can no longer play that role sufficiently due to my health. I know with the right leader Winston could be the best dog ever.

Story
My name is Bear and here is a little info about me:Breed: RottweilerAge: 2 yrsGender: maleWeight: 55 lbsHeight: tbdHighlights: extremely loving, affectionate, curious, energeticLot of energy, this may help...https://links.goodpup.com/shelter/LALDR I am extremely loving and affectionate once I know you. I can be shy when meeting strangers but it doesn't take me long to consider you my new best friend. My previous owners bought me from a breeder with the intent of breeding me. They did not train me or exercise me so I got my energy out the only way a puppy can, by getting into mischief. This resulted in me being kept in a crate or a tiny hallway with the door shut. I was even hit on occasion resulting in me being very timid around the people who should have been showing me love. Once I was no longer a puppy my family lost all interest in me to the point that I was very close to being euthanized. I wisely ran away and found a loving person who contacted LALDR who immediately took me in. I am now in a foster home and am deliriously happy there.  I love meeting new people and other dogs and I am a bit too curious about cats so a home without a cat would be great. I am a very gentle and loving soul. My first foster mom said I am just about perfect except that her cat wouldn't come home when I was there. I was moved to a marvelous home with my foster dad and his other couple of dogs and I'm fitting in well.  I love going for walks so an active home would suit me best I am a very high energy dog. I also love going to the dog park and playing with other dogs. Here's a video of me being, well, just plain cute: https://youtu.be/V0vL2SLcUVI. And I certainly know how to give lovins', kiss kiss kiss: https://youtu.be/SqWCw3sGJys. Here I am, not caring I have a cone on after neutering : https://youtu.be/AzTt3EUPBqA. Energy Level: medium highI get along with:Dogs: yesCats: noKids: no Training: My owners didnt bother training me so I don't know much yet. But I am an eager and quick learner. I want nothing more than to please my person.LAL has set up 1 week of free training for me:  https://links.goodpup.com/shelter/LALDR Leash skills: I can walk on a leash, but I am so excited for freedom that I pull. My foster mom is helping me learn my leash manners.  House trained: Yes. Health notes:  I am small for my breed. It is possible my growth was stunted by poor nutrition and by living in a crate too small for me. So I am a mini Rottweiler and just as cute as can be.  My adoption fee is $800 plus taxes. I will be neutered, vaccinated and microchipped prior to adoption.  ##1798603##
