Story
Sosa is a delightful 1-year-old Shepherd/Rottweiler cross whose gentle nature, kind eyes and spirited personality make her an instant favourite with everyone she meets. Shepherds and Rottweilers are known for their sharp minds, loyal hearts, and loveable, active personalities, and Sosa is no exception. She is a bright, attentive girl who is eager to learn and use her brilliant brain. Whether she's walking on leash, playing a puzzle game, or settling down for a quiet moment, Sosa is just happy to be with her people. Sosa would love to join an active home who could bring her on adventures. She would do best with a confident adopter who is willing to work on continued training, socialization, and creating positive experiences both inside and outside of the home. Before coming to the shelter, Sosa had little experience in the world, so she may become anxious when left alone for long periods of time. Prospective adopters should be prepared to understand that although she is typically a care-free, happy girl, she does have a soft side. Sosa came into care with her puppies, and being a single mom was no piece of cake! Due to being a super-mom, she has developed some areas of skin-sensitivity on her stomach which she is currently being treated for. Sosa would love for her adopters to be committed to her long-term health and happiness with regular vet visits to ensure that, and to finally provide the comfort, rest, and activity she very much deserves. **Sosa is available for Foster-To-Adopt until her spay surgery; we are prioritizing local applicants or those willing to accommodate travel.**If you think Sosa could be a good fit for you, please fill out the application below. https://spca.bc.ca/survey/dog-adoption-application-kamloops/ **NOTE**: Our dog team will only be contacting applicants who have submitted an application. We encourage all applicants to write a little bit about themselves, their pets, and their home when prompted. Leaving these questions empty drastically affects the likelihood of receiving a call back. We carefully review every application we receive, However, as a small team, we're not able to respond to every inquiry. Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: Tan Weight: 26.5 Age: 1yrs 0mths 2wks

Story
Meet Spike, a sweet, goofy boy who is approximately 11 months old and ready to find his forever family!Spike is full of personality and loves making people smile with his playful, fun-loving nature. Like many young dogs, he's still learning his manners and will benefit from continued training, consistency, and positive reinforcement as he grows into a well-mannered companion. We suspect Spike would love another dog companion as he tends to gravitate and make friends with all the other dogs in centre! Although other large dogs are his thing, he'd do best in a home without any small critters as he loves to make chase! If Spike seems like a good fit to you, please fill out the application below to meet him! He is currently in a foster home, so an application will be required prior to arranging a meet and greet. https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/dog-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ Primary Color: Tan Secondary Color: White Weight: 42.8 Age: 0yrs 11mths 3wks

Story
My name is Bear and here is a little info about me:Breed: RottweilerAge: 3.5 yrsGender: maleWeight: 75 lbsHeight: tbdHighlights: extremely loving, affectionate, curious, energeticLot of energy, this may help...https://links.goodpup.com/shelter/LALDR I am extremely loving and affectionate. My first owner bought me from a breeder with the intent of breeding me. They did not train me or exercise me so I got my energy out the only way a puppy can, by getting into mischief. This resulted in me being kept in a crate or a tiny hallway with the door shut. I was even hit on occasion resulting in me being very timid around the people who should have been showing me love. Once I was no longer a puppy my family lost all interest in me to the point that I was very close to being euthanized. I wisely ran away and found a loving person who contacted LALDR who immediately took me in. I am now in a foster home and am deliriously happy there.  I love meeting new people and other dogs and I am a bit too curious about cats so a home without a cat would be great. I am a very gentle and loving soul. My first foster mom said I am just about perfect except that her cat wouldn't come home when I was there. I was moved to a marvelous home with my foster dad and his other couple of dogs and I'm fitting in well.  I love going for walks so an active home would suit me best I am a high energy dog. I also love going to the dog park and playing with other dogs. Here's a video of me being, well, just plain cute: https://youtu.be/V0vL2SLcUVI. And I certainly know how to give lovins', kiss kiss kiss: https://youtu.be/SqWCw3sGJys. Here I am, not caring I have a cone on after neutering : https://youtu.be/AzTt3EUPBqA. Energy Level: medium highI get along with:Dogs: yesCats: noKids: no Training: My owners didnt bother training me so I don't know much yet. But I am an eager and quick learner. I want nothing more than to please my person.LAL has set up 1 week of free training for me:  https://links.goodpup.com/shelter/LALDR Leash skills: I can walk on a leash, but I am so excited for freedom that I pull. My foster mom is helping me learn my leash manners.  House trained: Yes. Health notes:  I am small for my breed. It is possible my growth was stunted by poor nutrition and by living in a crate too small for me. So I am a mini Rottweiler and just as cute as can be.  My adoption fee is $800 plus taxes. I will be neutered, vaccinated and microchipped prior to adoption.  ##1798603##
