Story
This is Henry, a curious and goofy ball of fun! Henry has been having a blast in his foster home as he awaits a fur-ever family. There's nothing better than going for walks, having off leash zoomies, playing with plushy toys, and cooling off in a little doggie pool according to him! When he greets you, he loves to give hugs and kisses

Story
Rose is a very special girl. She came to us as a stray that was in need of some serious help. She had no ID for us to trace and she was never claimed by anyone. She arrived in our care with a very bad skin condition. She had scratched herself raw in places that and she was terribly uncomfortable. We had Rose vetted right away to get her some relief from the intense itchiness she was suffering from. The vets realized right away that she had been suffering from allergies that weren't address for a long time, causing a major secondary skin infection. Since receiving medical attention, Rose's skin and coat have hugely improved, revealing her vibrant and playful personality. She delights in engaging with toys and enthusiastically participates in games of tug-of-war with our staff, albeit sometimes with a bit too much gusto, leading to occasional toy destruction. She also loves our outdoor baby pool on a hot day! Her splishing and splashing will provide you endless entertainment While Rose has encountered many dogs during her time with us and generally tolerates their presence, she may react defensively if approached aggressively. Her compatibility with cats remains unknown, but her inclination to chase may suggest a less-than-ideal match. To manage her allergies, Rose is currently on a fish based diet and requires ongoing medication (Cytopoint monthly injections) prescribed by our veterinarians. We are hopeful that her allergies and skin condition can be managed with less medication overtime now that she is back on track. Despite these needs, Rose's affectionate nature and lively spirit make her a cherished companion for the right family willing to provide her with the care and attention she deserves.Thank you for your interest in adopting! Story
Who's this handsome fella with the biggest happy grin!? Why it's APOLLO, of course!Apollo is a lovable and goofy 7-year-old Rottweiler who will melt your heart with his adorable antics and charming personality. Despite his size, Apollo is a gentle guy, who loves to spend time with his humans and soak up the love. He's a big softy, and loves to give kisses and ask for pats. He'll plop himself down directly in front of you, in hopes you'll have no other choice than to give into him. With his little tail stub wagging away, and his smile big and bright, it's not hard to tell when he's having a good time. While Apollo loves to get out and about, his body doesn't always agree with his youthful spirit. Apollo is currently working off his "winter weight", and is asking for a helping paw to get him beach bod ready! With some small supports, Apollo will be ready to strut his stuff further and further every day.Even with arthritis present, Apollo doesn't let that stop him from being his fun-loving self. He plays just as much as the next, and his mind is present in all things. He is as smart as a whip, and knows quite the list of commands. Happy to engage and create new games, Apollo will have your home filled with love, laughter, and toots.Apollo has previous experience with dogs, but can be selective upon meetings. He would do best in a home with a mid-large female canine, or as the only animal so he can focus on his own journey. If you've got room in your home and heart for this big boy, apply for Apollo today!https://spca.bc.ca/survey/dog-adoption-application-powell-river/Apollo (ID# 592904)7 year old n/maleRottweiler Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: Red Weight: 54.1 Age: 7yrs 3mths 1wks

Story
My name is Bear and here is a little info about me:Breed: RottweilerAge: 2 yrsGender: maleWeight: 55 lbsHeight: tbdHighlights: extremely loving, affectionate, curious, energeticLot of energy, this may help...https://links.goodpup.com/shelter/LALDR I am extremely loving and affectionate once I know you. I can be shy when meeting strangers but it doesn't take me long to consider you my new best friend. My previous owners bought me from a breeder with the intent of breeding me. They did not train me or exercise me so I got my energy out the only way a puppy can, by getting into mischief. This resulted in me being kept in a crate or a tiny hallway with the door shut. I was even hit on occasion resulting in me being very timid around the people who should have been showing me love. Once I was no longer a puppy my family lost all interest in me to the point that I was very close to being euthanized. I wisely ran away and found a loving person who contacted LALDR who immediately took me in. I am now in a foster home and am deliriously happy there.  I'm nervous around new people and other dogs and I am a bit too curious about cats so a home without a cat would be great. I am a very gentle and loving soul. My first foster mom said I am just about perfect except that her cat wouldn't come home when I was there. I was moved to a marvelous home with my foster dad and his other couple of dogs and I'm fitting in well.  I love going for walks so an active home would suit me best I am a very high energy dog. I also love going to the dog park and playing with other dogs. Here's a video of me being, well, just plain cute: https://youtu.be/V0vL2SLcUVI. And I certainly know how to give lovins', kiss kiss kiss: https://youtu.be/SqWCw3sGJys. Here I am, not caring I have a cone on after neutering : https://youtu.be/AzTt3EUPBqA. Energy Level: medium highI get along with:Dogs: yesCats: noKids: no Training: My owners didnt bother training me so I don't know much yet. But I am an eager and quick learner. I want nothing more than to please my person.LAL has set up 1 week of free training for me:  https://links.goodpup.com/shelter/LALDR Leash skills: I can walk on a leash, but I am so excited for freedom that I pull. My foster mom is helping me learn my leash manners.  House trained: Yes. Health notes:  I am small for my breed. It is possible my growth was stunted by poor nutrition and by living in a crate too small for me. So I am a mini Rottweiler and just as cute as can be.  My adoption fee is $800 plus taxes. I will be neutered, vaccinated and microchipped prior to adoption.  ##1798603##
