MEET ROXY!😍 Roxy is a beautiful 2-year-old Rottweiler/Shepherd mix with a playful spirit and a loving heart. She is available for adoption through PAWS Rescue, Inc. Roxy is a smart, obedient girl who already knows several commands, including sit, shake, lay down, and she comes when called. Roxy also kennels very well and enjoys having a routine. She is also house trained. While she may be a little timid when meeting new people, once she feels comfortable, her sweet and affectionate personality shines through. Roxy loves to play and is high energy, making her a great companion for an active family. Because of her enthusiastic play style, Roxy can sometimes get a little rough during play and should be supervised when interacting with other dogs. She does best with dogs her own size or larger and may not be the best fit for a home with small dogs. She would do well having another dog to play with. Cats unknown. Roxy is looking for a family that will give her patience, love, and continued guidance as she builds confidence. In return, she’ll reward you with loyalty, companionship, and lots of fun adventures. If you’re looking for a smart, playful, and devoted best friend, Roxy may be the perfect addition to your family! *Fenced yard required* Roxy’s adoption fee is $350 and includes her spay, vaccinations and microchip. Story
Luther is a great dog who is a very sweet boy who can be pretty lazy and loves to cuddle with his family. He wants to please his person. Luther loves to cuddle up in bed and get belly rubs. He also enjoys playing catch and having lots of chew toys. But his favorite thing is playing tug of war. When he feels more energetic he loves to play ball. If you aren’t paying attention he will nudge you with his toy to play with him. Being treat motivated it won’t be hard to teach him new skills or just have some training fun with him. Luther is very quiet except for when he sees someone or something he wants to meet or play with. Or if he is in his crate and sees a new person or dog he barks acting mean. True to his breed he responds if he perceives a threat. We have noticed that Luther isn't ok when meeting new people when they have a hat on. So hats must be off when meeting someone new. Once he gets to know them he is completely fine with them being in a hat. Luther also doesn’t like to have new dogs sniff his private area and prefers a dog who will just get straight to playing with him or mind their own business. Luther has had training and minds well. We love this boy to pieces. And always excited to get his Rottweiler slobbering kisses. He has previously been around children over age 3 and did well with them. He really loves kids. Since he has been with us he has been around all ages even younger than 3 and did well. Just know that it’s possible for him to accidentally knock one over due to his goofiness and strength. Luther lived with his human mom and dad in a 5th wheel with another large dog, a small dog, and a cat and got along with all of them well. Luther is a very strong dog and pulls on the leash but knows the sit, down, and stay. He is crate trained and house trained. He is good being left alone and has at times been left for up to 12 hours per day. The story we are told regarding Luther being taken to the shelter is that the step-daughter come over one night and started arguing with the step-dad. Luther barked at her and when she was waiving her arms around he ended up grazing his tooth on her forearm; it broke skin, but shows what great bite inhibition he has as he could have torn her up if he really wanted to. After his quarantine, the owners weren’t able to get him back due to state laws where they live. Luther is a Rottweiler male. He is a 5 year-old as of June, 2026. If you're interested in Luther, please fill out a pre-adoption application on https://linktr.ee/northernstardogrescue
