Story
Queen is a mellow cuddle bug. She is about 6 years old. We adopted her from our local shelter two years ago and her age was the best guess. She’s FANTASTIC with kids, and we do not know how she is with other pets in the home. She is highly anxious and would do best with someone who’s home most of the time. She loves long walks. A home that can commit to hiking and walking regularly is a must for us, in addition to plenty of attention and cuddles. Queen does bark at other dogs and we do not consider her friendly with strange dogs. She is house trained though she does have a bad habit of counter surfing —we’re told that’s her breed and she is highly food motivated. We love Queen and our heartbreaking decision to re-home her does not come lightly. Health and medical issues are piling up, and our child seems to have developed an allergy while she’s been here. She needs a family where finances and health aren’t a big burden.

She loves a good adventure and is a fitting companion for hiking, camping, or just a trip to the river but also for snuggling up on the couch together. Freya would love to be in a home with furry friend(s). She plays kind of rough so no senior dogs but, boy, does she have fun with other playful, boisterous, young dogs! Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Layla is playful, has a good disposition, and lives for chasing balls and chewing sticks. She's fantastic with people from toddlers to adults and shows no signs of aggression or shyness. More often than not, she will approach people and flop over to hopefully receive a belly rub. We don't know her exact age but she seems to be young, maybe around 2 years old, and has shown capable of learning things (she's gone from not potty trained at all to about 80% in a few months and can use the doggy door). She's only slightly food motivated but will generally come if given a treat. She's not vocal except for when her humans come and go. She will bark for a minute when someone is leaving and give one "woof" for a welcome back greeting. While away, she is fine roaming the house unsupervised. She doesn't jump on furniture or chew on anything that she knows she shouldn't. She has had a few opportunities to escape but won't run away and is more curious about what you are doing. She is not street smart with cars and we are working on leash training. Although very healthy now, we believe that Layla had distemper as a puppy. This presents when she gets excited (new people, places, or dogs), she will twirl in circles for a bit. When not excited or lying around the house, she's completely normal except for being a bit clumsy (but still fast to chase a ball). While she does have a disability, she makes the most of it and is generally a very happy dog. She has been fine with dogs her size and smaller; she may have issues with large dogs, especially if they are high energy. She has been reported to be okay with cats but there aren’t any in her foster home. She seems fine with loud noises and generally doesn't have any anxiety triggers other than she tends to pant and talk during car rides. She has a great range of energy. She's comfortable sleeping all day while her human is working from home or running around outside. She's recently been spayed and is ready for a good home that can provide lots of love for a very sweet dog. We are told she is a “silver Doberman”. Energy- Low to High as appropriate for the situation Dogs- Little dogs yes, big dogs sometimes Cats- Supposedly Livestock: Unknown Kids- Yes all ages Leash- In progress Car- Has anxiety, talks but never barks Crate trained- Yes Potty trained- About 80% She's good for 8 hours roughly.
