Story
Luther is a great dog who is a very sweet boy who can be pretty lazy and loves to cuddle with his family. He wants to please his person. Luther loves to cuddle up in bed and get belly rubs. He also enjoys playing catch and having lots of chew toys. But his favorite thing is playing tug of war. When he feels more energetic he loves to play ball. If you aren’t paying attention he will nudge you with his toy to play with him. Being treat motivated it won’t be hard to teach him new skills or just have some training fun with him. Luther is very quiet except for when he sees someone or something he wants to meet or play with. Or if he is in his crate and sees a new person or dog he barks acting mean. True to his breed he responds if he perceives a threat. We have noticed that Luther isn't ok when meeting new people when they have a hat on. So hats must be off when meeting someone new. Once he gets to know them he is completely fine with them being in a hat. Luther also doesn’t like to have new dogs sniff his private area and prefers a dog who will just get straight to playing with him or mind their own business. Luther has had training and minds well. We love this boy to pieces. And always excited to get his Rottweiler slobbering kisses. He has previously been around children over age 3 and did well with them. He really loves kids. Since he has been with us he has been around all ages even younger than 3 and did well. Just know that it’s possible for him to accidentally knock one over due to his goofiness and strength. Luther lived with his human mom and dad in a 5th wheel with another large dog, a small dog, and a cat and got along with all of them well. Luther is a very strong dog and pulls on the leash but knows the sit, down, and stay. He is crate trained and house trained. He is good being left alone and has at times been left for up to 12 hours per day. The story we are told regarding Luther being taken to the shelter is that the step-daughter come over one night and started arguing with the step-dad. Luther barked at her and when she was waiving her arms around he ended up grazing his tooth on her forearm; it broke skin, but shows what great bite inhibition he has as he could have torn her up if he really wanted to. After his quarantine, the owners weren’t able to get him back due to state laws where they live. Luther is a Rottweiler male. He is a 5 year-old as of June, 2026. Story
We have had Freya since she was a puppy. She is almost 4 years old and is one of the sweetest dogs we have ever had. The reason we are looking to re home her is purely due to a new family dynamic and nothing to do with her or her behavior itself. It pains us to even have to look at this as an option; however, she is a very energetic dog who needs lots of attention and with a new infant, we think it would be best to have her be with someone who has more time to focus their attention on her and get her exercised and played with more than we have been able to do. She is very well behaved and does require a lot of attention. She also is not aware of how big she is so we have struggled with her knocking over our infant son and being heavy on her paws around him. We understand he is new to her as well, but since a lot of our attention is elsewhere we believe she has been having a very hard time with that. She deserves a home with love and more focus on her❤️

To apply, follow this link: https://forms.gle/9aMxKi7Yc5UEHu6q7 Honeybee is a sweet boxer mix. She has so much love to give and deserves a home where she can feel safe, cherished, and has someone to play and exercise with. Honeybee is very well behaved. She's appropriately energetic, but will not skip a beat when it comes to a snuggle session on the couch. She shows interest in playing fetch, but she's one of those "you go get the ball and I'll run" when she's playing fetch with other dogs. She likes the water, rolling in the grass, and sniffing around. HB is also an excellent guard dog. Honeybee is super clingy and is perfect for someone that wants a dog around the majority of the time. Once she feels comfortable, her sweet and silly side really starts to shine. She has never been around cats or children under 8. She would love a home where she can get exercise and lots of love. She is already a perfect dog! Her adoption fee includes spay, vaccinations, and microchip.

SPARKLE is a low-key queen who loves to curl up for cozy naps, enjoy a long-lasting chew toy, and stay right by your side. Her Favorite Things & Skills: --House-trained & Crate-trained: A total pro indoors! --Leash All-Star: Has mastered loose-leash walks. --Great Co-Pilot: Rides wonderfully in the car. --People Lover: Warm and affectionate with every human friend she meets! Story
This sweet girl is Mocha. I recently adopted her just 10 days ago and while I would love more than anything to keep her - but I don't have the proper funding to get her the training that she needs. She was found as a stray so her history is unknown, but she was clearly not introduced to this world properly and struggles with meeting new people. She barks and lunges out of fear/anxiety at new humans and I am worried that this could turn into a situation where my roommates don't feel safe or I am unable to have new people at my home. While she has been incredibly sweet to me since day one of meeting her at the shelter, I have come to find out that it is very common practice for shelters - especially IHS - to give this more anxious dogs calming drugs to make them appear more adoptable. If you have the resources to build her confidence with professional help, I urge you to consider taking her into your home. I will provide all of items I have for her in addition to the free adoption.
