Story
Bruin is an 8-week-old puppy with a heart as big as his name. He found himself in a very high-kill shelter in Florida far too young, but thanks to our amazing southern rescue partners, he was saved just in time and is now headed to Maine on January 11th to start the life every puppy deserves — the way life should be. Bruin is a sweet, curious, and happy little boy who is ready to trade concrete floors for cozy beds, warm laps, and snowy Maine adventures. At this age, he’s soaking up everything — learning, growing, and falling in love with the world around him one tail wag at a time. He’s the perfect blank slate: ready to bond with his forever family, learn all the puppy things, and grow into the loyal, loving companion he was always meant to be. If you’re looking to give a rescued puppy a beautiful new beginning, Bruin is waiting for you. If you’re interested in meeting Bruin, please complete an adoption application. Approved applicants can contact our Adoption Coordinator, Emily, at emily@mainedogrescue.org

Story
** Foster-to-adopt eligible**Meet Maggie May, Maggie May is an energetic and affectionate girl who asks to be the only four legged animal for her people to fawn over. She loves the car, going for walks and meeting new friends. She is looking for a home with people 15 and up because she can show her excitement with her mouth at times and this girl has a passion for life. In her previous home, she had an accident that has left her with some mobility issues. When we say issues, we don`t mean that she can`t move; she is just as busy as when she was a young dog, but the way she moves just looks different now. We are treating her for discomfort surrounding her previous injury with joint supplements and a medication called carprofen which our vet recommends that she continue after adoption. If you are interested in meeting Maggie May, please stop by for some snuggles and butt wiggles.
