Story
!!Due to current regulations, dogs belonging to rescues and shelters in DE can’t leave the state if they’re already in it, or enter it if they’re outside of it. This regulation is in place until 8/13/24 (at least). Please keep this in mind when applying to adopt. Dog Name: Kelby Breed: Rottweiler/Pit Mix (maybe) Sex: Female Age: 8 months Weight: 42lbs Medical Needs: None Housebroken: Yes! And she knows the route to outside and will paw at the door to go out. Crate trained: Yes, she does very well, does expect a little treat when she gets in Good in the car: Yes, loves being able to look out the window and explore. Good on a leash: She’s getting there, she still pulls especially when she gets so excited to see friends, we’re working on it. Energy level: we’re getting out of the puppy stage, but she still loves to play, especially w her foster sister, once she’s inside she wants to snuggle and will chew on her toy at your feet. Need a fenced in yard: not if she’s leashed when you’re outside. But she’d prefer space to run free. After all, she was in a shelter from the time she was 1pm to old to 7 months. She loves being outside. Dog Friendly: YES! She loves other dogs and wants to be engaged w them . If yes, does your foster need another dog in its adoptive homes? No, she loves them, but also loves her attention from her people. Cat Friendly? Yes, pretty much ignores the cat altogether. Kid Friendly: Yes. If yes, what's the youngest child you'd recommend they be placed with? Currently the youngest in our home is a 5 year old. She is still a puppy and would need to learn how gentle to be with a younger child. Special traits that make your foster special or that we need to know about them? Shes such a love able, goofy, sweetheart. She would make a good guard dog with her big bark and she alerts us whenever there is a stranger at the door or near the back yard, but in public she doesn’t bark. Story
Loyalty, affection, intelligence, and good looks: meet Kit Kat!! He is the whole doggy package. Bright alert, and sometimes silly, KitKat represents one of America's most popular dog breeds for a very long time. A well-made Boxer in peak condition is an awesome sight.KitKat's dark brown eyes and wrinkled forehead give the face a curious look. He looks like he is always working out some math problem. He moves like the athletes he is named for (not the candy bar- boxers! ) Smooth and graceful, with a fun zig zag thrown in. So be ready for that! Kit to the Kat is upbeat and playful. He will do best when exposed to a lot of people and other animals in his young 1-3 years of puppyhood after his two week transition.Training will help him become more self assured and confident. Boxers are known for their affectionate natures and their tendency to bond firmly with their human families. Because they feel this connection so deeply, they tend to need your attention more intensely than some other breeds. But don't call K-Kat needy - he gets upset at that! Speaking of upset...He met some cranky cats the other day. They hurt his feelings and he was all emotional all the way back to his kennel about why they did that and how could they be so rude and what did he ever do to deserve that. So avoid angry hissy spitty kitties unless you want to spend 30 minutes puffing him back up. He likes to watch other dogs and pick up their moves. Kit Kat is a fun fella, sensitive and loving. Even to cranky kitties. Come out and give him a break, he is looking for a new love to call his own. Might that be you? He offers love affection and lots of laughs! ✅🐶✅😻✅👨‍👩‍👧‍👦🚫🍫 45 pounds.🏃🏽‍♀️ Kit Kat Will need exercise and basic training to be his best self. Primary Color: Brown Secondary Color: Tri Color Weight: 45 Age: 1yrs 0mths 1wks
