Story
Meet Arnie, a 2-year old Rottweiler/German Shepherd with one heck of a comeback story. He ended up at the local pound severely emaciated and only 21 pounds with critically low red blood cell count, terrified and trembling. We soon learned he has immune-mediated hemolytic anemia (IMHA), a condition where the immune system attacks its own red blood cells, leaving untreated dogs weak, fragile, and deathly sick. Getting him properly diagnosed and treated has truly been life-saving, now at a healthy 45 pounds and gaining more confidence every day. Arnie is derpy, loving, playful, and curious. He loves people, other animals, car rides (watching lights and scenery), treats, and toys. Dislikes being left alone and loud noises. He's finally learning how to "dog", playing, exploring, and prancing around in the snow, with a full life ahead of him. His ideal home would be one with at least one other confident doggy friend to play with and help teach him what's right and wrong, and one where his family will celebrate him every day.
