Story
Meet the dashing Tyr, AKA "Best Friend"! This big ham came in with his brother, Rekkr, and they would love to go home together! Tyr has experience around other dogs of all sizes and did well with them; he tends to look after smaller dogs and is very friendly/outgoing. Tyr has not had experience with cats. Slow introductions are always recommended when bringing a new pet home! If you have room in your home for 2 gentle giants, see staff for an adoption discount for Tyr and Rekkr! Tyr is a gentle giant who has been described as a lap dog. His favorite thing to do is cuddle up to his favorite people and get love. He is a lovebug who wants nothing more than to be by your side on the couch or in bed. While he is a mellow guy, you can always get him going with a thick rope toy. Tyr and Rekkr LOVE to play tug-of-rope together! He does not enjoy squeaky toys - they hurt his ears and he will avoid them altogether! Tyr is crate-trained and housetrained. He will let you know he needs to go outside by going to the door and gently scratching at it. Tyr is used to having free access to his crate and usually prefers to eat in his crate. It is his safe space, and he will go there whenever he wants some space. His crate is next to his brother's crate, as they prefer to be close to each other and are inseparable. Tyr is very smart and knows most commands! He has been trained to stay toward the back of his owner in unfamiliar situations. Tyr is also muzzle-trained. Although it hasn't been needed, it is handy experience! Tyr loves car rides and is very good in the car. He's gone all the way to Florida in the car and did great! He's a great road trip companion. Tyr does not usually get people food, but he does love watermelon and honeydew on occasion. *Adoption holds may be placed on available animals in person or by calling 320-252-0896. An adoption hold reserves available animals for one day after the animal is ready to be adopted. More than one adoption hold may be placed on an available animal and will be honored in the order they were received. Adoption holds are $25 plus tax, are non-refundable, non-transferable and not applied toward the adoption fee. **Minnesota sales tax and an administrative fee ($20 for cats/dogs and $10 for small animals) will be applied to all adoptions. Donations and adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter surgeries, microchipping, vaccinating, deworming, any medical procedures, and general care of all shelter animals. Story
My name is Barbosa and I’m not sure why everyone says I’m so big. I don’t think I am. I can climb into your lap and snuggle against you like a little dog. Plus, being taller means you don’t have to bend over to pet me. There’s just 95 pounds of me to love! I was raised by people who loved me, so I’m still a little confused as to my current situation and need some reassurance. Being petted helps and I feel better if I can see you at all times. Consider me your shadow. But it does mean that I’m completely housebroken, have inside manners (I can easily reach the countertop, but don’t countersurf), like to be brushed and know some commands like “sit and down”.I am a goofy boy who likes to run and chase my smaller foster sibling and play with toys. But when I need a breather, I flop on the floor like a frog or a bearskin rug. I’m not sure I understand this concept of “personal space”, but I guarantee you’ll never have to be in the bathroom alone again! There are no small children in my foster home, but I think I’d like them, though I might accidentally knock them over. I have not shown a strong prey drive, so cats might be okay, too. I don’t need a fenced yard, but could use some help working off a few pounds. I love walks, but need some practice so I stop pulling on the leash. I’m open to learning, if it means more walk time with you!I know that my forever family is out there looking for a BIG baby and I’m ready to be your devoted companion forever!--------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption. Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned. Their breed description is based on our very best educated guess based on physical characteristics and their dispositions. If they came to our rescue as an owner surrender, the breed description will be listed as provided by the previous owner.Adoption Fee - $500To apply for this pup, please submit an Adoption Application at http://warriordogrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application/

Story
Location: Rockford, MN At 8 years old, this Georgia boy has officially traded southern living for his next big adventure. He’s currently a little more string bean than big scary Rottweiler, but don’t let the skinny legs fool you. He’s heartworm positive and will be starting treatment soon, and once that’s behind him, we’re excited to watch him fill out and thrive. He is seriously the SWEETEST boy. He’s potty trained, knows sit and lay down, listens incredibly well, kennels without a single complaint, does well with other dogs and kids, and his biggest personality trait is simply wanting to be wherever the love it. For everything he’s been through, he sure hasn’t let it change his love for the world. Now it’s his turn to get healthy, get spoiled, and learn just how good life can be. Originated from: Shelter in Georgia. --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs over 9 months), FIV/FeLV test (cats - one in the litter), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration). Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. We have no way of knowing the breeds in the animals. All breeds listed are best guess.

Story
This handsome Rottweiler has been through more than any dog should, but his spirit remains strong. He is scheduled to have one of his back legs amputated and is looking for a loving foster home where he can safely recover and begin his next chapter. He'll need a calm, patient caregiver who can provide a comfortable place to rest, help with his post-surgical care, and shower him with the love he deserves. Like many dogs recovering from a major surgery, he'll benefit from a quiet environment and a consistent routine. He does best as the only dog, or with very slow, carefully managed introductions to another calm dog. Right now, his focus needs to be on healing, building confidence, and adjusting to life on three legs. Tripods are incredibly resilient, and with the right support, he has every opportunity to enjoy a happy, active life. If you have room in your heart and home to help this courageous boy recover, you'll be making a life-changing difference.     ##2751993##

Story
Casey Jones was found as a county stray chasing a train in rural Siloam Springs. He supposedly hit the train but only sustained a very slight limp, hence the name Casey Jones. In literature, Casey Jones was a railroad engineer who heroically saved the lives of all the train passengers during a colossal collision. He walks with a slight limp but smoothly moves along with an occasional skip and a hop that are actually quite charming. Casey Jones loves to play with other canines of all descriptions and genders, and he is wonderfully housetrained. He loves going for rides and putting his head out the “train” window and feeling the wind in his face.
