Story
Maximus is a stunning Rottweiler with a quiet strength and a story that only adds to his charm. He came to us missing the paw on his left hind leg due to an old, healed injury - but don’t let that fool you. Maximus gets around just fine! Sometimes he cruises along on three legs, sometimes he uses his stump for balance. Either way, it never slows him down! He’s easy to leash up and enjoys getting out for walks. He takes treats gently and has a calm, independent nature. He’s friendly and enjoys affection, but he’s just as content exploring on his own, taking in all the sights and smells around him. Maximus has a lower energy level, and doesn’t need much in the way of entertainment.  I am looking for a medical foster or foster to possibly adopt!     ##2751993##

Story
Meet PJ - Chief Happiness Officer & Full-Time Best Friend If joy had four legs and a wagging tail, it would be PJ. This 1-year-old, 47-pound mixed-breed sweetheart is ready to trade his rescue story for a forever home—and he’s bringing nonstop love, enthusiasm, and tail wags along for the ride. PJs previous rescue organization/foster said he does well with kids (current foster in MN suggests older kids since his happy enthusiasm might accidentally knock the littles over), gets along great with other dogs, and is even cat friendly. He walks on a leash, though he’s still learning not to pull, and he rides nicely in the car—curious about everything along the way, as any young pup should be. He’s always up for an adventure, but just as happy to settle in for cozy time with his people. His favorite things include treats (he’s working on remembering his manners—sometimes excitement gets the best of him!) and soaking up all the ear scratches you’re willing to give. PJ sleeps quietly in his kennel at night. He may occasionally protest when first placed in the kennel, but he settles down and relaxes once he gets comfortable. He is still working on keeping his kennel clean and will need continued guidance as he builds consistency with potty habits. Outside of the kennel, he does well on a regular schedule and understands going outside to potty every couple of hours. At just about a year old, PJ has that perfect balance of playful puppy energy and growing maturity. He’s eager, affectionate, and ready to be someone’s loyal sidekick through it all. If you’re looking for a joyful, fun-loving companion who will make every day a little brighter, PJ is your guy. Apply at campcompanion.org Adoption fee is $450 + tax

Story
**Bear is available through our Adoption Ambassador Program and is not onsite at the shelter! Call 320-252-0896 to arrange a meet-and-greet** Say hello to Bear! He has been described as a friendly boy who is full of energy. He loves to play, and his favorite place to be is outside. He's a confident, happy guy. Bear has been around older kids in the past and did well. He has been friendly with other animals but has not lived with them. Slow and proper introductions to resident pets and children are always recommended when bringing a new animal into the home. Ask a TCHS staff for tips on how to ease the transition. Bear would love to have durable toys to chew on and keep him entertained. Patient and consistent training using treats is a good way to work on obedience cues. Ask a TCHS staff about training and suggestions for the perfect toy for your new friend from the TCHS Re-Tail Shoppe. *Adoption Ambassador (AA) animals are available for adoption but reside in a TCHS foster home instead of in the shelter. Meet-and-greets are scheduled in a first-come, first-served manner. Adoption holds are NOT accepted on AA animals unless the potential adopter has already met the animal. If you are interested in meeting this AA pet, meet-and-greets may be scheduled by calling 320-252-0896. *Adoption holds may be placed on available animals in person or by calling 320-252-0896. An adoption hold reserves available animals for one day after the animal is ready to be adopted. More than one adoption hold may be placed on an available animal and will be honored in the order they were received. Adoption holds are $25 plus tax, are non-refundable, non-transferable and not applied toward the adoption fee. **Minnesota sales tax and an administrative fee ($20 for cats/dogs and $10 for small animals) will be applied to all adoptions. Donations and adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter surgeries, microchipping, vaccinating, deworming, any medical procedures, and general care of all shelter animals. Story
We adopted Bunga as a puppy in 2020 and he was well taken care of for the last 6 years. He is a sweet boy and very loving. We have a baby on the way and unfortunately he’s too big to be around a newborn, so we are looking for a new loving home for him.

Story
Meet Ruthie, a Rottweiler both roughly 10/20/2020.    I love all dogs both big and small.  I am kind and mellow and love to play with the resident dog, Spur. I am house trained and quiet as my mom works from home.  She said I am the perfect dog because I am a good eater, not a barker or runner and sleep all night.  I stay close to mom both inside and outside of the home.  I love the crate and often sit in the open crate during the day.  Mom says I need a family who will be patient with me so I can get acquainted and trust.  I am happy to let my mom love me, kiss me, grind my nails, massage my feet and rub my ears.  I love attention and belly rubs once I know and trust you.  A typical Rottweiler who is loyal to his family.  I will be a great family friend but I will need you to allow me to decompress,  possibly taking weeks or months before I am my true self.  The fun and playful Rottie.          Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee:  $425.00  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 22, 2026, 7:52 pm
