Story
Introducing Bruce. At 5 years old, this handsome Rottweiler mix has all the qualities that make an exceptional companion. He’s affectionate, easygoing, and genuinely enjoys being with his people. Whether it’s a leisurely walk, a car ride, or simply hanging out together, Bruce is happiest when he’s sharing life with someone.Recently, Bruce got to spend the day away from the shelter on an outing with two of our staff members. He hopped right into the car, rode beautifully, greeted everyone he met with his friendly personality, and even enjoyed an ice cream treat. Everywhere he went, Bruce proved what we’ve known all along—he’s an absolute gentleman. His volunteer walkers report that he’s slow and easy on the leash and nonreactive as he strolls through the surrounding neighborhoods.Bruce also gets along well with other dogs and would love a family that will include him in everyday adventures, whether that’s a trip for ice cream, a walk around the neighborhood, or a relaxing afternoon at home. He’s the kind of dog who makes life a little brighter just by being part of it. Now he just needs someone to give him the chance. You can begin the adoption process for Bruce right now by filling out an application on our website, www.humanecny.org; or email info@humanecny.org; or call us at (315) 457-8762.Contact HumaneCNY if interested in this animal. You can fill out application to adopt at the shelter.

Story
Mr. Vader is an 8-month-old rottie we’ve had since he was 6 weeks old. He is an incredibly sweet, well-behaved companion who loves to play and cuddle. He is wonderful with children, especially younger ones, and is very friendly with new people. He is not territorial, is food trained, and knows a wide variety of tricks. He deserves a home where he can get the time, attention, and love he thrives on. Unfortunately, with my work schedule and a busy household with two children under five and another on the way, we can’t give him the time he needs. We are hoping to find him a family who will truly make him part of their lives and treat him like the main character he is.
