Story
Bosco is a 14 week old Hound mix. He must have had a rough start because he has taken a while to act like a puppy. He loves playing with other dogs and I think it shows him how a dog should act so I think he should be in a house with at least one other dog. He loves being outside and exploring. He will chase a ball outside and play more outside. He has not been around cats, so I do not know how he would do. I would recommend he is adopted by someone with children over the age of 12, not because he is aggressive by any means, he just seems more fearful of younger children. Bosco will need decompression time at his new home! It MAY take a couple of weeks for him to feel comfortable in a new place with new people. He is NOT aggressive with new people at all. He feels very comfortable in his crate with the door open, especially when the kids are playing around. He will need a family that is willing to be patient and work with him to help him build connections and confidence. He may hide for the first couple of days. Socialization and puppy classes would be very beneficial. After many weeks he will now lick me and let me pet him after I let him smell me. He has come a long way, and I think he will turn out just as awesome as his smart, loving brother with time and the right person. He does really well going potty outside. He hasn’t had an accident in a long time, but we take him out regularly. We are also working on walking on a leash and he is getting better! He actually doesn’t chew on much at all, I wonder if that will change as he continues to warm up. He is crate trained and will sometimes go in there by himself and lay. He needs to have a crate or a place to feel safe. He is in there around 9 hours at night and does fine. He will go lay down(go to his crate) when told. Fenced yard required! He is fully vetted and looking for a loving home! We adopt within a 4 hour radius of Toledo, OH Our adoption fee is $400 Fully vetted including neuter, puppy vaccines, bordetella, flea & tick treated, heartworm prevention, de-wormed, and microchipped

Fetch is one of his absolute favorite pass times. He also is down for being a couch potato binge watching Netflix. Drogon has done well with all men and women he has met here at the shelter. He is sure to greet you everyday with the cutest wiggly butt. He loves head scratches, treats, toys, and all the praise and baby talk you give him. He has lived with a cat and another dog. He can however be protective of his food. Same Drogon! Same! The behavior team is requiring all kids in the home must be over 12. Also, all dogs in the home must come in and meet with him. Story
Hello humans! My name is Lonnie and let me tell you a little about myself. You see, I'm a more mature pup that was surrendered to FDHS back in September after I was left by my owner who never returned. I'm not taking it personal though, I know I'm a good boy and it wasn't my fault. But now I'm looking for a forever home where I'll be treated like family and never left behind again. Don't let my age deter you! I'm in great shape and play as hard as any of these other pups. I burn off a lot of energy while playing so lots of treats are apreciated! I just have the benefit of being house-trained and experience living as a member of the family. I catch onto manners very quickly and am eager to please! Not only that, but I promise to be a loving and loyal companion to our family. I'm looking for a home where I get lots of pets and belly rubs. I seem to get along better with the calmer dogs, as the more reactive ones tend to get me worked up. I don't know if I've ever been around cats or other small animals, so slow introductions with any other pets is a MUST! I get along great with people of all ages.Did I mention I give the best kisses? If I sound like I could potentially be your cup of tea, fill out an application for me today!**Neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and UTD on all vaccines & monthly prevention. He weighs about 64 lbs**

Story
'McCoy the Good Boy', that's what the folks around here call me. I’ve become pretty familiar with the kennels of FDHS in my lifespan. You see, I was born here six years ago and found my first home when I was just a pup. I spent about four years there but kept getting into trouble with the neighborhood cats and small animals so that family decided that it was best for my to find someone could keep me away from smaller critters. After a few months of being here back in 2021 I found the most awesome home with a really great man. Despite my quirks he loved me like no other and gave me a great home and became my Dad. Unfortunately, my Dad got really sick and as much as we loved each other, he knew I needed to find another family that could give me the care I need. I’m really sad to be back and miss my Dad. The nice girls at the shelter assure me that I won’t be here long and they’re going to find me a family to help heal my heart and love me just as much as Dad did. In the meantime, I’ll be waiting in my kennel waiting for that family to come. **Neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and up-to-date on vaccines & monthly prevention. Weighs about 65 pounds.**

Story
Hello world! My name is Keanu Reeves (the dog version), but you can just call me Keanu! Although I'm not stealing the spotlight on the big screen, I am aiming to steal a spot on your couch!I was surrendered to the nice people at FDHS about 2 months ago after my previous owner could no longer keep me. I wasn't in the best of condition when I arrived, I was pretty skinny and missing some hair. In the time that I've been here I look like a completely different dog! I'm a sturdy boy with a large head and a tail that NEVER stops wagging. I really am the happiest of boys. I've done pretty well in the shelter environment. I'm always eager to meet new human friends and I love to run around in the fenced yard out back. I can get a little sassy with some of the more "intense" dogs but I think with slow and proper introductions, I wouldn't mind having a canine sibling. I did very well when I was cat-tested and would likely be totally fine going to a home with them. The staff praises me for keeping a clean kennel (other than the occasional mud from my paws...I like to play!) and I do excellent with routine. Overall, I'm a big goofy guy that's just looking for my fur-ever love....could it be you?**Neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and UTD on vaccines & monthly prevention. Weighs about 65 lbs**
