Our rescue took him in immediately and learned he is heartworm positive, sadly. We're having that treated, getting him plenty of small meals throughout the day and he should be ready for his furever home by the end of April. His $200 adoption fees include: neuter, vaccines, deworming, microchip and all medical treatment necessary for heartworms. **PROCESSING OF APPLICATIONS CAN TAKE UP TO 5 DAYS. Story
*WE'RE A FOSTER-BASED RESCUE, NOT A SHELTER* (We don't have a facility) Sir Cleetus was found near Lake Stanley Draper in central Oklahoma, likely the victim of getting dumped. We took him in, once a foster home was secured, and he's been absolutely thriving! He's excellent with all her other dogs (2 are Great Danes) and her cats, plus he's patient with kids. He is shy when he first meets strangers, but will come around. There's no telling how he was treated when he was on his own. If you'd like to make Sir Cleetus part of your family furever, please apply on our website: shelterfriends.org Applications take around 5 days for processing, and then we'll email you. Make sure to add our email address to your contacts so our messages won't go to spam: shelterfriendsok@gmail.com Thank you!

Story
**WE ARE NOT A SHELTER - WE'RE A FOSTER-BASED RESCUE* The Classic Cars litter were born November 12th, 2023 to a Rottweiler mother, but by the looks of them we think they have 2-3 different dads and no clue on their breeds. An elderly man who was once homeless took in their mama because he knew how it felt and couldn't bare to see her suffer out in the cold. They've all been vaccinated, dewormed, spayed/neutered and microchipped so all they need now is a family of their own! Keep in mind that young puppies require lots of patience and time to learn house manners and proper obedience. If interested in adopting please apply on our website: SHELTERFRIENDS.ORG Processing takes 1-5 days and then we'll email you (add shelterfriendsok@gmail.com to your contacts to avoid our messages going to your spam folder).

Story
This cute girl is quite spunky and ready to romp and play at the drop of a hat.  She does have a sweet and sleepy side too!  She is good with other dogs.  She is a little too interested in cats so that would be something to keep in mind.  She learns pretty fast and is food motivated.  She will grow up to be a big girl so will need appropriate training. October 12, 2024, 12:19 am

Story
Meet Mutt - your future furry best friend! This one-year-old bundle of joy is the perfect addition to any loving home. Weighing in at around 35 lbs, Mutt is the ideal size for cuddles and playtime. Mutt is a well-behaved, house, and kennel-trained pup who's been doing a great job with leash training. He's looking for a forever home with someone who can continue to reinforce his good behavior and continue his leash training journey. This medium-energy marvel is a social butterfly and gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes and energy levels. He's a true "pawsome" playmate and would adore having a doggy friend to frolic with. Mutt is no stranger to the dog park, where he thrives while playing with his buddies. However, Mutt's love for feline friends is not as strong, so he's seeking a cat-free home. While he hasn't lived with kids before, he should do just fine in a home with respectful children who understand how to interact with dogs. Mutt is a ton of fun and adores playtime. He's always ready to drag out his toys and engage in a spirited game of tug of war with his furry pals. Don't miss out on the opportunity to give Mutt the loving home he deserves. He's the perfect companion for an active, dog-loving household. Ready to make memories and share adventures with Mutt? Come meet him today and let the good times roll! He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations and preventatives, heartworm negative, and microchipped. You can send inquiries to our director of adoptions at muttmisfitsadoptions@yahoo.com or apply to meet / adopt at www.muttmisfits.com/adoption-application!

Story
Tucker is a fun loving, happy pup!  He’s shy at first but warms up quickly and then he is full of adventure and life!  He has a smile that is contagious. He is crate trained and house broken. He does well on a leash and knows basic commands. He does well riding in the car. Tucker likes being around children, and he is gentle. He is trained to not jump up. He loves other dogs and will play, chase, and wrestle for hours!  He likes to chase cats, but cats don’t seem to like that very much.  Chickens and ducks are just snacks to him, so maybe a home without chickens or a really secure chicken coop would be best. He’s incredibly sweet, loves belly rubs, back scratches, snuggles, and (of course) TREATS!  He’s a good boy who is hoping to find his new best friend. ##1590437##

Story
Scooby is about a year and 1/2 old Great Dane/Boxer mix. He is about 60 -70. pounds. Scooby is so sweet and it was hard for his foster mom to get great pics because Scooby loves to be super close to her. As she would take a step back to get his face in the frame of the picture, then he just scooted forward. He is a big sweetheart. He is very energetic and LOVES to chase balls and squeak toys. Scooby is crate trained and potty trained. Scooby's time was up at a local shelter and he knows his foster mom said yes to him right on time. He showers her with lots of love. No kitties for Scooby. He thinks those are just funny looking squirrels. If you are interested in Scooby, please email adoptions@petsandpeople.com and our adoption volunteer will share our questionnaire. Once approved, we will set an appointment for you to meet and adopt Scooby. Please share Scooby. He would do well in an active family and he gets along well with other dogs. Please email us directly for a faster response and we will send you our questionnaire. adoptions@petsandpeople.com We get many each day so please watch your spam/trash folders for our replies. Adoption fee for all dogs over 4 months is $200.00 each, which includes spay/neuter, vaccinations (including all puppy boosters for puppies under 4 months), worming, flea/tick treatment if needed, microchip and collar/leash/tags.
