Story
Boz a very handsome 2 year old, 45 lb, male Rottweiler mix was surrendered to the rescue after living outside in a box for shelter. At some point Boz did live in the home with other big dogs and reportedly did well. He has been friendly & cooperative with the volunteers at the rescue and loves running in the big play yard. Boz is house trained and is now current on vaccines and neutered. He is new to the rescue so for more information or ro schedule a meet and greet please contact Tri-County Animal Rescue Center ( kennel license # 8704 )

Story
Apollo, a 60 lb., 16 month-old, Rottweiler (?) mix, is ready to romp his way into your heart. If you prefer dogs or puppies in size XL, who take up the whole couch during a football game--the kind of happy-go-lucky, rough and tumble dog whose ears flap like small wings chasing a ball, then perhaps you should schedule a time to meet Apollo. Apollo is “air tight” housetrained, neutered, and up to date on vaccines. Apollo came to us as a stray so there are some things we don’t know about his history. Apollo has never shown an ounce of aggression towards other dogs. For lack of training, he does play a little rough but he’s so sweet he will drop a ball from his mouth and tap it through the fence so that a dog on the other side can play with it. (Really.) Apollo needs a home without small children and would love a large, fenced yard for some safe, vigorous daily exercise. He needs a strong arm to walk him on leash, but it’s so easy to imagine Apollo bushwacking a trail with his person or people, or making a big splash in a local river. He’s kind of like a dog version of Indiana Jones. His best friend is Haven, a 50 lb., female Hound mix, who loves racing around the yard with him. If you’re looking for an action and adventure hero disguised as a Big Puppy, Apollo would love to meet you. Contact Tri-County Animal Rescue Center on Facebook, or by calling 814-918-2032, or email us here: contactus@Tricounty-arc.org (kennel license #8704)

Story
Meet Ozzy! Ozzy is a handsome, friendly boy who came to us as an unclaimed stray. He is approximately 3 to 4 yrs old and is a purebred Rottweiler. Ozzy is big & strong, weighing 101lbs. He does walk fairly well on a leash, but will need to continue working on those skills. He will tend to pull if he sees something he’s interested in. Ozzy’s new owner will need to be fit and active enough to handle him. His ideal home is where he is not left alone for long periods because he does get stressed. His new owner should be willing to work with him so that he is comfortable and confident. Ozzy may enjoy another dog in the house, of course, a meet and greet is required first. We are unsure about cats and suggesting older children only due to Ozzy’s size.Despite his intimidating presence,Ozzy is a gentle giant who loves attention and giving kisses Looking for applicants with breed experience . If you would like to give Ozzy the life he deserves, please fill out our online application or stop in during open hours. Wednesday 6-8pm or Saturday 12-3p.https://www.lakeshorehumanesociety.org/online-adoption-form
