Story
Meet our beautiful, strong, and incredibly loyal Rottie girl! This young lady is the total package for the right person-smart, devoted, and full of personality. She forms deep bonds with her person and is naturally protective, making her an excellent companion for someone looking for a loyal, watchful best friend. She does tend to prefer female humans, but with patience and proper introductions, she can absolutely warm up to men over time.Because of her strength and confident nature, she's looking for an experienced, assertive adopter who can provide clear leadership and won't be intimidated by her bold personality. She thrives with structure and guidance and will do best in a home where she understands her boundaries. She must be the only animal in the home. A home without children is also required so she can feel secure and relaxed in her environment. A securely fenced yard (5–6 ft fencing) is a must to keep her safe while she enjoys outdoor time. The good news? She's incredibly smart and eager to learn. She already knows her commands and is highly treat-motivated, which makes continued training both fun and rewarding. With the right person, she will absolutely shine. If you're an experienced dog owner looking for a loyal, protective, and intelligent companion, she just might be your perfect match.

Meet Zeus!!! He is an 8-year-old neutered Rottweiler Mix! This is the sweetest baby I have met, and I would keep him in a heartbeat if it weren't for my German Shepherd requiring to be an only pup. Zues was rescued from a situation where his previous owner could not care for him.Zues is a HUGE cuddle bug, and will follow you to the ends of the earth! He absolutely loves attention from anyone willing to give it to him. He can be left alone for a solid period of time (8 - 9 hours), but if you have a job that allows you to be with him/take him to work, he would love that even more. He loves to go on long walk as we have been taking him on 1 mile walks 2 times a day. He has even gone to the arboretum to see the trolls where he got pets from people and did not mind the other dogs that were there! He does great on leash until he sees something he wants to sniff when he then will drag you towards it (he cannot hear very well, but his nose works really well). On walks around the neighborhood, he does not react to cars or people (but he loves pets and attention if he can get it).Zues has hypothyroidism - meaning he has to take medicine to keep his thyroids working well. He is on a steady dose of 0.4mg twice a day. He is really healthy and lost a lot of weight, going from 76 pounds to currently 61.5 pounds. He is super-food-motivated, so we try not to give him too many treats or any people food as he still needs to lose a few more pounds. He is a bit protective on a leash/inside a fence and will bark at animals he does not know. Unsure if he gets along well with cats and other dogs as he hasn't had a ton of exposure to either of those. The one time he saw my cat (who was running) he tried to chase after him, but when I held and showed Zeus the cat, he appeared to not care. He has been on a walk with another chill dog which he kept going up to and sniffing, but other than that had no other reaction to. Other pups that are a bit more hyper, he is a bit wary of/may match their energy. He reacts well to calm dogs, and I think he would love a sibling that is chill. He would do amazing in a single pet household or potential multiple dog household but would need a slow introduction to new dogs (and potentially chill cats!).Zeus is such a good boy and could be your new companion! He deserves to have a life where he can flop on a bed or couch, follow you around, and explore the world with you! He's relationship-oriented more than food-oriented, with a silly personality that's good for laughs. He likes to take leash walks, play with other dogs and clock-off dog-duty with a long nap in his crate. He goes through bones pretty quickly, and antler bones are his most favorite way to self-entertain. He almost falls over backward in bliss when being groomed and gives no resistance to bathtimes. Not super-aware of where his body is in space - he can be clumsy and is still growing into his elbows.Bogart's not a barker, even when playing with other dogs, but he will respond to sympathy talk in the same tone as the speaker, and always replies with an affirmative "woo-woo-woo" when asked if he'd like to go on a pottywalk.Bogie failed his farm test in September: he likes to chase things, which is why he can't stay with us, though we all thought about it until the prey drive showed up and ruined our plans. So a home with cats or small animals isn't going to be a good fit.Bogart almost certainly came from an abusive home, though to meet him now you couldn't tell. He has recovered well and generally expects to be adored by all. Neither storms nor loud noises bother Bogie. He oversaw a home construction site last summer and stood patiently by for foster mom to cut him some untreated chestnut wood chew chips with the loud chop saw. Fourth of July fireworks were also not an issue. He's a 62 pound, healthy and curious young fella who would like more opportunities to play than foster mom can give him. A home with kids would be a good match, as he has a lot of games to show them.Contact me today at walton5260@gmail.com to learn more about entertaining Bogart!
