Story
Poncho is playful and fun. He was my Dad's dog. Dad purchased him so that his older dog Sugar would not be lonely. When Dad died, both dogs became my responsibility. We have land for them to run around on; however, it became too much for Sugar (the older dog). She is now living in comfort with my niece.Poncho is young. He was born Nov - Dec 2024. He needs to be with a family with kids who will play with him or with a young couple who has more time for him. He would do best on a farm, but he is very smart and could learn to live with a family or couple that will play and teach him to stay in a reasonable size yard.I am in my 50's, and it's not fair to him to be left alone at home while I work.He does have allergies. He has to take Zenrelia. I will gladly help any family pay for those meds for the rest of his and/or my life. It breaks my heart to let him go. But I know he would do better with a family.

Honestly, we’re not sure how this wonderful girl keeps getting overlooked — she truly is a gem. 💎 When she’s not showing off her good manners, Snickers enjoys deconstructing her stuffies 🧸 and relaxing in the sun. Rusty was surrendered alongside Daisy through no fault of their own and is now looking for a new place to call home. He’s a happy, fun-loving guy who enjoys going on walks just as much as he enjoys relaxing as a couch potato. Rusty walks well on a leash and rides nicely in the car, though he may need a little boost to hop in. He does well in both a kennel and a crate and is likely potty trained. Rusty also did well during dog testing, but as always, a meet and greet is recommended to ensure a good fit. Rusty is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and dewormed. He is heartworm negative and on prevention.

Wilbur was found scavenging through trash, doing his best to survive on his own. Despite his rough start, he’s an incredibly sweet boy who truly loves people and craves attention. He can be reactive around other dogs and cats, so he may do best as the only pet or with slow, careful introductions. Wilbur is a strong walker and will need someone who can confidently handle him on a leash. The good news: he’s very food-motivated, which makes training a great opportunity—he already knows “sit” and is eager to learn more. We’re still getting to know Wilbur and will continue to update his profile as we learn more about his personality and needs. Wilbur is neutered, DHPP and Bordetella vaccinated, microchipped, and has started dewormer. Wilbur did test heartworm positive and has started the slow-kill method of treatment. He'll need to be kept on an ivermectin based prevention until he can be retested in a year.
