Story
Percy is 5 years old, Ive had him since he was 8 weeks old. He's a sweet, talkative, goofy cuddle bug. He also however likes his personal space and alone time, he will let you know. He loves his lamb chops and treat toys. He's a runner, he'll beat you every time. It takes him a minute to warm up to new people but a few treats will do the trick. He's not fond of car rides, loud noises, or the rain. But he gives a mean high five, knows basic commands and is kennel & house trained. He does have a medical issue that requires medication. He has separation anxiety. He will need a single person or a couple household with no kids or cats. He needs a person with lots of time, the space and patience to work with him. Unfortunately my living situation changed and I cannot bring him with me.

Story
Percy is protective of his people, but he warms up to new people if they give him a treat. He’s goofy, loves playing catch and getting butt scratches. He always wants to know what’s going on and he can give you a mean high five. He enjoys being outside when it’s not too hot out. I just want him to have a home full of love, time and patience for him. He’s big but he’s a cuddly mess once he gets warms up to you. He needs someone who has time to work with him and the ability to take him to the vet regularly, he needs stability.

Story
✨ Meet Bridgett – from survival to second chance ✨ Just weeks ago, Bridgett was fighting to stay alive. Rescued from life on a chain in late February, she was severely emaciated at just 41 lbs — a heartbreaking shell of the dog she was meant to be. Today, thanks to a loving foster, she’s slowly healing and discovering what it means to live. 💛 Bridgett is learning everything for the first time — how to play, how to trust, how to just be a dog. She’s recently started playing (and it’s the sweetest thing!), and her tail hasn’t stopped wagging since she realized she’s safe. 🐾 Now thriving inside — crate trained and doing beautifully in the home 🐾 Calm, relaxed, and well-behaved indoors (she truly “gets it”) 🐾 Loves her outdoor playtime, but settles easily 🐾 Loves people and kids 🐾 Great with other dogs — enjoys being part of a pack 🐾 Learning manners quickly — understands “no,” “sit,” and “wait” 🐾 Doing great with house training (only one accident so far!) 🐾 Still a bit of a goofy toddler — playful, sometimes mouthy when excited, but responsive and learning 🐾 Mild prey drive (squirrels beware!) — likely best in a home without cats She’s gaining healthy weight, confidence, and stability every single day — and it’s incredible to watch her transformation. Bridgett is the kind of dog who just needed a chance… and she’s making the absolute most of it. She will be spayed soon and will begin heartworm treatment, so she’ll need a committed foster or foster-to-adopt home willing to continue supporting her journey. Bridgett is ready to give her whole heart to someone. All she needs is a home to keep showing her the way. 💕 📩 If you can foster or are interested in fostering to adopt Bridgett, please reach out!

Story
Meet Soto!A Resilient Soul Ready for His Second Chance! Soto is a Pit Boxer mix with a big heart and a brave spirit. He came to us under tough circumstances—tied up at our front gate after his previous family could no longer care for him. Despite everything, Soto is holding onto hope for a new beginning with someone who will give him the love and patience he deserves. Soto can be wary of new people at first, but once he learns to trust you, his playful and affectionate side shines. He’s a total goofball when it comes to water, toys, and treats—those are definitely the way to his heart! Because of his cautious nature, Soto would do best in a calm, adult-only home (no kids under 16) and as the only pet. He thrives with structure, gentle guidance, and people who understand that good things take time. Soto is ready for someone who sees him not for his past, but for the amazing companion he can become. If you`re looking for a loyal friend to grow with, Soto is waiting to meet you.To make an appointment to meet Soto, please complete your application at this link: https://PetsFurPeople.org/pre-application/ Follow it up with a phone call.
