Story
Jovie is a beautiful 2 year old female rottweiler. She has a gorgeous black and brown coat a sweet and playful personality. She currently weighs about 65 pounds, and is working hard on gaining weight. Jovie is a sweet girl who has lots of love to give. Jovie has not had the best life prior to arriving in Wisconsin, as she was living her life on a short chain outdoors in Texas with very little access food and water. Thankfully her owners agreed to surrender her so she could get the food, love and attention she deserves. Besides her being a little thin, you would never know how tough her start to life was! She absolutely adores people of all ages, and gets along well with other dogs of all sizes. She has been learning the ropes of being an indoor dog at her foster home and is crate trained, potty trained and well behaved. Jovie loves to play with toys and with other active dogs. After being on a chain her whole life, doing zoomies around her foster's yard is so much fun for her! Jovie is learning how to walk on a leash and basic commands, but her new family should be prepared to continue to work with her on her obedience training and be patient with her while she learns the ropes at her forever home. Due to her being underweight, she is not yet spayed. She does have an appointment at our veterinarian in mid January for the procedure. Her adoptive family will be required to bring her to our vet for the procedure, or if the family prefers to use their own vet, we will reimburse $200 when proof of spay is provided to us. Jovie is up to date on vaccines and heartworm prevention, she dewormed and microchipped, and she comes with her medical records and interstate health certificate from a veterinary examination prior to leaving Texas, which certifies her to be in good condition. She is being fostered in Muskego, WI. Her adoption fee is $500, which will be used to support the many animals in our care whose medical bills far surpass their much lower adoption fee. Story
Meet Stryker! Age: Senior Breed: Rottweiler Weight: 90 lbs Good with: Dogs House trained: Yes Crate trained: No, but not needed Stryker is THE BEST big boy (90lbs) ever! This gorgeous senior Rottweiler has no health issues other than some normal aging stuff (vision/hips) and was a loved pet for many years. Sadly, his human parents had to go into longterm care so he lost his home and fur companions. While he has not lived with kids in his foster home, he loves his people and it is believed he would do just fine with kids. This pup is truly a “dog’s dog” (has not been cat tested) and would benefit from a home with at least one other dog. He currently lives with multiple dogs of various sizes/energy levels and he enjoys them all. Stryker is a chill pup with lots of pep in his step. He loves taking walks and enjoying time roaming the yard in his foster home or lounging on the porch. A fenced in yard is not a requirement but he does enjoy exploring. He also has great house manners, being both housebroken and being able to be left free roam when his foster is out. Stryker is not a barker but makes noises when he wants your attention and is a smart pup who knows basic commands. Stryker loves affection and is a fan of mealtime/treats. Stryker would make a wonderful addition to a family - he just wants to find a safe place to call home for his sunset years. Does he sound like a good fit for you? **Stryker is located in the Chicago suburbs and also spends time in Delavan, WI Albert's Dog Lounge is a specialty rescue focusing primarily on senior and special needs dogs.
