Allow me to introduce myself: I am Celeste, and I am a very, very sweet, soft kitty. I am spayed, vaccinated, and tested (negative) for FeLV/FIV. My teeth are in great shape, too. I am between 4 and 5 years old . (**Please be aware that I can only eat canned food, due to some scarring in my throat.) My original humans did not treat me nicely so I’ve had a lot of trauma; when they brought me to the vet, they said they didn’t want me back…. and I was scared and heart broken. And they wanted the vet to euthanize me! Thankfully that did not happen – the vets fixed me up and let me stay there. One of the vets is fostering me now and he loves me VERY much but he’s horribly allergic to cats, so he is trying to find me a forever, loving, adoptive home. I am shy when I first meet someone new, but once I warm up (and it doesn’t take me very long), I am very snuggly and affectionate, and I like to purr. I know that I lived with another kitty in the past, so I’m assuming I get along with other cats, if we are introduced properly to one another. I have excellent litter box habits, I don’t make a lot of noise, and I promise I will love you forever. Do you have a place for me in your heart? Hello there! My name is Rocket and I think they named me that because I have so much energy! I am a Russian Blue male and I’m about 1 ½ years old, so I love to run around and jump and play. I also purr a lot, and I am VERY affectionate…. In fact sometimes I get so excited that I bite a little bit! I’m not sure if I get along with all cats, but I have been living with one other cat for some time, and I do get along with her (but I play kind of hard!) I don’t know where I originally came from, but I ended up in a not very nice shelter and then someone adopted me; but, it turns out they couldn’t keep me because they moved to a place that didn’t allow animals (go figure…) and after moving me around to a lot of other people, (which was very stressful), I ended up with Cat Posse Rescue. They are taking really good care of me now and helping me find my forever home. PLEASE NOT THAT I AM ON A URINARY DIET- WHICH MEANS THAT IF I EAT DRY FOOD, IT HAS TO BE URINARY DRY FOOD. Captain Fuzzpaws is a delightful little guy who is a little shy but with a little love, will turn around fast. He has a hard start in life; He was turned in to the shelter when he was a tiny kitten and stayed in the medical unit due to overcrowding at the shelter. Shoved in the last cage, he got his physical needs met but the shelter staff is too busy to socialize kittens. He was not noticed for adoption since he was shoved in the corner. When his 'final notification' went out, a KR volunteer took him home. He became instantly playful with the other kittens, loves to get pets and is actually a social little cat. He doesn't like being picked up yet, but should be able to soon. Captain Fuzzpaws is a very playful and inquisitive character with a shiny, silky coat. Nubbins is a challenge; we will admit that off the bat. But he is also incredibly handsome and loves hanging with his friends Spunky and Cabbage as part of the Top Shelf Crew! They even have their own Instagram page dedicated to them: @topshelfcrewatkittenrescue.Our boy Nubbins is not really that fond of human interaction at this stage but we are working on it. He really just needs a nice safe space where he can be with his friends and watch what is going on. Nubbins gets along well with other cats and is a curious fellow who likes to see what is happening although he may not participate in it. He will sometimes come off his shelf and greet other cats. It would be nice if the top shelf crew could be adopted together but they are all socially challenged so they need a patient human who will love them no matter what. Nubbins should be adopted with a cat friend so he feels secure.
