Story
Nico is a sweet loving kitty who enjoys back scratches and grazing your legs. A bit anxious/shy at first but warms up with time. He is 9 years old and we have had him since he was a kitten. Nico is gray with white paws and neck. We hope to adopt him alongside his brother Massimo as they love each other and exist well together. Both of them are wonderful with children and super chill animals to have around. Massimo is affectionately known as a cat dog. He loves to lap sit and cuddle. He is 8 years old and we also got him as a kitten. He’s a lighter gray than Nico with short hair. We hope these two boys can stay together and find a loving home! Please inquire for more photos as many were not uploading!

Story
Taz is being adopted through the San Gabriel Valley Animal Advocates. If you are interested in adopting Taz, please submit an adoption application at http://www.sgvaa.org and we will get back to you as soon as we can. Your adoption donation allows us to rescue the next kitty from the streets and pay for all their health and medical needs. Most of our adoptable pets live in loving foster homes. We can arrange meet-and-greets with our foster families, at our live-in habitats in the West Covina and El Monte Petcos, as well as at the Huntington Beach (Edinger) PetSmart. SGVAA is an all-volunteer, non-profit rescue organization serving the San Gabriel Valley area. For more information on how you can help your community, please visit: www.sgvaa.org Their Adoption Process If you are interested in any of our adoptable pets or have additional questions, please fill out an adoption application and we will get back to you as soon as we can. Since we are an all-volunteer organization, it may take us within 24-48 hours to respond. Our little fur babies are so adorable that sometimes we get multiple applications for one pet! So if the pet you are interested in is no longer available there is no need to worry! We have plenty of friends who are furry! As part of the adoption process, we screen each new potential owner, and do home visits to ensure that an animal and owner are a good match. Once your adoption application has been approved, we will have you fill out a Pet Promise Certificate (adoption contract) *SGVAA’s adoption donation allows us to rescue the next kitty from the streets and pay for all of their health and welfare needs (spay, neuter, shots, deworming, flea meds, microchip) *We also provide free home delivery of your new kitty/kitties! About This Rescue SGVAA is dedicated to the protection and humane treatment of pets in the San Gabriel Valley area. We encourage people to rescue a homeless animal instead of buying one. Our organization also educates the community on the importance of early vaccinations for fatal and easily preventable diseases. We also advocate spaying or neutering to reduce pet overpopulation. Once an animal is in our care we vaccinate all rescues against disease & provide needed health care, fight pet overpopulation by spaying or neutering all rescues, and provide lifetime shelter and care to any rescued animal that is not adopted. Come Meet Their Pets Most of our adoptable pets live in loving foster homes. For interested adopters, we can arrange meet-and-greets with our foster families, at our live-in habitats in the West Covina and El Monte Petcos, as well as at the Huntington Beach (Edinger) Petsmart. We also post pictures of our adorable kitties at sgvaa.org, our Facebook page and on Instagram!

Permanent Foster Needed for Smokey and Sunshine Smokey was surrendered by their previous owner because she couldn’t care for him anymore. Smokey was one of three cats surrendered, two of which are still at AALOC. The remaining two – Smokey and Sunshine – are inseparably bonded and must be fostered together. Smokey, a male Russian blue feline, is a very special cat. He’s very affectionate and will come to greet you when you arrive. He loves to sunbathe in the window, particularly with his best friend Sunshine. Smokey has several medical issues including liver disease, arthritis and a bone spur. He takes medication daily to alleviate his pain. As a permanent foster you would be responsible for loving and caring for Smokey and Sunshine, taking them to vet appointments and making sure they receive their medications and are comfortable. AALOC would pay for all of Smokey and Sunshine’s vet visits, grooming, food and medications. Please apply to foster Smokey and Sunshine at www.AALOC.org. Once your application is reviewed and approved we will contact you to make an appointment to visit us at AALOC to meet Smokey and Sunshine and get to know them a bit.

Story
We’ve been fostering Gary since he was about 3 months old. He was feral and got into my office and wouldn’t leave. He is still wary of human touch but likes to sit near people and loves to play with toys. He’s very playful. He is friendly towards our other cats and dog but the other animals have never tolerated him. He is neutered and vaccinated. We want to find Gary a good forever home. I think with more one on one attention he would learn to love human touch and he would probably do best in a house without kids.

Story
DOB: 3/10/2019 Nubbins is a challenge; we will admit that off the bat.  But he is also incredibly handsome and loves hanging with his friends Spunky and Cabbage as part of the “Top Shelf Crew”!  They even have their own Instagram page dedicated to them: @topshelfcrewatkittenrescue. Our boy Nubbins is not really that fond of human interaction at this stage but we are working on it.  He really just needs a nice, safe space where he can be with his friends and watch what is going on.  Nubbins gets along well with other cats and is a curious fellow who likes to see what is happening although he may not participate in it.  He will sometimes come off his shelf and greet other cats.  It would be nice if the top shelf crew could be adopted together but they are all socially challenged so they need a patient human who will love them no matter what.  Nubbins should be adopted with a cat friend so he feels secure.  Come meet this crew who sit on their shelf and watch the others, kind of like kings surveying their kingdom! If you are interested in learning more about this kitty or in adopting him, please click here to email his foster parent. If you are unable to send an email to the foster parent through the link included above, please contact us and let us know what kitty you're interested in.  You may also fill out our adoption questionnaire to speed up the screening process.  Be sure to name the cat in the CAT PREFERENCE field at the beginning of the questionnaire. If the above links aren't live, our contact form and questionnaire are available on our website at www.kittenrescue.org.For our fees and adoption policies and procedures, please click here.April 10, 2024, 5:50 pm
