Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Cleft Palate & FIV+ Mariska is a quiet gentle soul. She has been able to overcome some big obstacles in her short life. She is quiet and calm, only giving little meows when she sees the wet food coming.  Her eyes are like windows into her past as she makes direct eye contact with you.  You can see the slightly skeptical look that comes from a life hard lived. Once you gain her trust she is very affectionate with an amazing purr that speaks louder than words about how much she appreciates the gentle touch. She would prefer a quieter home with a loving adopter who will continue to smoother her in the affection she craves. Upon first glance you will notice Mariska is missing many of her front teeth and has a malformed upper lip. Our vets believe she may have a congenital abnormality such as a cleft palate, but it may also be an older facial injury. She has adapted quite well and is able to eat/drink without issue, but she does so slowly and thus requires separate feedings to ensure she gets proper nutrition. Mariska is also FIV positive and requires a home where she can be the one-and-only or can join other FIV positive cats (check out Oreo's profile!). You can read more about FIV here: https://www.petmd.com/cat/conditions/infectious-parasitic/c_ct_feline_immunodeficiency_virus_infection *HWMAR presents the information in these bios based on our foster observations and any information presented to us regarding prior living conditions, breed specifications. Story
Meet Pickle-Boo! She is around 10 months old. She is a Russian Blue mis and while beautiful she is not hypoallergenic. Pickle Boo is a very sweet, playful, loving girl. She loves playing catch with spring toys, cuddling, and treats, and purring on her foster mom's lap. She is good with dogs, older cats, and older kids (she can get a little too enthusiastic with gentle love bites for little kids). Pickle Boo had some significant health problems as a kitten, namely, seizures and a diagnosis of epilepsy. She hasn't had a seizure since July 14, 2023, and has successfully weaned off all her medications. She is now a healthy, happy young cat who is looking for furever home.  Pickle-Boo is spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, treated for parasites, and combo-tested negative for FIV/Leuk.  Her adoption fee is $125. For more information, please call or text 847-773-7639 or email info.stsff@gmail.com. Please note: We cannot hold cats for any reason. Please do not apply unless you are ready to meet and welcome a new companion into your home within 3 days of applying. ##1952410##

Story
Meet Rhodie - a chatty, playful guy ready to share affection with the perfect family! This independent fella is perfectly content playing on his own, running around the house chasing invisible monsters, chasing laser pointers, and chewing on his favorite toys. However, he also loves hanging out with other kitty pals and demands the attention of his loyal human subjects! That’s right, he loves acting like King of the Castle. He comes running when he hears the word “kisses” and will let you know he desires them on his forehead by head bumping you until you give in to his wishes. The perfect family would be a home without children and adults only, since he doesn’t particularly like being grabbed or picked up suddenly. His new family would also need to respect that he prefers petting on his own terms and will circle around your legs or climb up on you when he is ready for physical touch. Otherwise, he doesn’t mind loud music or sounds such as thunderstorms or fireworks, so could do well in a busier household as well. He would, however, prefer a family who could spend most of the day chit chatting with him and catering to all his needs. Rhodie is a tender, loving soul that sees straight into your heart and will reward the lucky family ready to care for him with his loyalty and devotion. Apply online to adopt him today!
