You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Cleft Palate & FIV+ Mariska is a quiet gentle soul. She has been able to overcome some big obstacles in her short life. She is quiet and calm, only giving little meows when she sees the wet food coming.  Her eyes are like windows into her past as she makes direct eye contact with you.  You can see the slightly skeptical look that comes from a life hard lived. Once you gain her trust she is very affectionate with an amazing purr that speaks louder than words about how much she appreciates the gentle touch. She would prefer a quieter home with a loving adopter who will continue to smoother her in the affection she craves. Upon first glance you will notice Mariska is missing many of her front teeth and has a malformed upper lip. Our vets believe she may have a congenital abnormality such as a cleft palate, but it may also be an older facial injury. She has adapted quite well and is able to eat/drink without issue, but she does so slowly and thus requires separate feedings to ensure she gets proper nutrition. Mariska is also FIV positive and requires a home where she can be the one-and-only or can join other FIV positive cats (check out Oreo's profile!). Meet Pickle-Boo! She is around 10 months old. She is a Russian Blue mis and while beautiful she is not hypoallergenic. Pickle Boo is a very sweet, playful, loving girl. She loves playing catch with spring toys, cuddling, and treats, and purring on her foster mom's lap. She is good with dogs, older cats, and older kids (she can get a little too enthusiastic with gentle love bites for little kids). Pickle Boo had some significant health problems as a kitten, namely, seizures and a diagnosis of epilepsy. She hasn't had a seizure since July 14, 2023, and has successfully weaned off all her medications.
