His journey was tough, and he spent his first few years trying to survive on the streets of Houston. But now? You’d never know it from his sweet, affectionate nature. From the very first day he was safely trapped, Jett showed nothing but love and appreciate for his human rescuers. When he came into care, Jett was missing several teeth and suffering from painful infections in the ones he had left. After a full dental procedure, he is now happy, healthy, and toothless… and it hasn’t slowed him down one bit! In fact, he feels so much better and is thriving. Jett is also FIV+, but that simply means he needs to be an indoor-only kitty and receive routine veterinary care, just like any beloved pet. Cats with FIV can live long, wonderful, lives, and Jett is ready to do exactly that with a family of his own. Since being indoors, Jett’s favorite things are human companionship, cozy laps, and making the sweetest little “biscuits” with his paws. He has the tiniest, squeakiest meow that will melt your heart immediately! He is a very calm kitty and is content in most situations. He loves to explore new rooms and areas carefully, but usually only with the company of his foster mom! Jett isn’t just looking for a home—he’s looking for his person. If you’re hoping for a devoted shadow, a warm lap companion, and a gentle soul who will adore you every single day, Jett is your guy. All he needs now is a safe, loving home to write the rest of his story. 💙 — Jett is a brave little guy, and will come right up to his humans for attention when he sees them. It’s very difficult to determine his age due to the wear and tear to his teeth from his early years, but we are estimating somewhere between 3-5 years of age (I know, that’s a really big range, but it’s the closest we can get!) Because of the color and texture of his coat, we believe he is a “street special” version of a Russian Blue — he’s definitely got the genes but they’re mixed! While he would be happy as can be in any loving home, we think Jett would really thrive with someone in a semi-calm household looking for a new best friend and lap warmer. He doesn’t really understand toys (yet!!) but he sure does understand love. Jett has lived in a colony with many other kitties his entire life, so he should do just fine with a buddy. Since FIV is spread through deep bite wounds, our toothless and friendly little man will not pose a risk to other kitties. He is neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and in great health overall. He does a great job of keeping his litterbox tidy and has perfect manners in the house. ---

ABOUT OUR ADOPTION FEES: 

Our adoption fees include spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchipping, and transportation costs. Also, when you adopt from ROSES Rescues, you’re doing more than giving your new family member a home. She is snuggly and has such a cheery happy presence that she brings smiles wherever she goes. Fun gorgeous and great with everyone. She has already been earmarked as a possible therapy cat too as she is very tolerant of all ages and lifestyles. Just a cat dog! Need some biscuits?! She's great at making them too! Riya - barely 12 m old and already not just an epic beauty, but an epic lover. She still has kitten fun and play but is also one up for snuggles 24/7. Her purr motor does not turn off - she's just perpetually happy and you can just sense her joy whenever she is near to u. Truly a fav amongst some great choices this week! Miss Kitty - this CUDDLEBUG 3-4 old Bengal mix is the princess of snugs n' kisses! She is really REALLY sweet cuddly and gorgeous and way more stunning than she appears in photos. She is happy young at heart and super duper friendly. She lives for lap time and making biscuits. Can be solo cat or buddied up! She even has been marked as possible therapy cat!! Fitz - 2yr old handsome hunky Fitz is about to be the love of your life! His Turkish Van roots are super apparent in his amazing personality and gorgeous plush soft as butter coat. He is a LOVER LOVER LOVER and raised with love in a home that sadly couldn't keep him after they moved. Perfect first cat or 100th cat! POSSIBLE THERAPY CAT. Great with all pets and people - WOW! Fuega - 12m old supermodel goddess has all the qualities of a Van mix - beauty love and joy - not super huge but still can grow. She is a gem of gems and seems to adjust rapidly in all types of homes. Old enough to go solo and truly gorgeous. Def a fav of all who have met her. Gentle lover and absolutely stunningly gorgeous! GIGI is a beautiful, all-gray (possible Russian Blue mix) lady with a gentle spirit and a heart ready to love. At around 5–7 years old, she’s the definition of low-maintenance grace. She enjoys the simple pleasures — batting at her toys, lounging by the window, keeping quiet company beside you, gentle pets and giving sweet little kisses. Gigi will rub all over you and even greet you at the door when you get home. Gigi will thrive in an adult-only home where she will have time and patience to settle into a new home. While Gigi is perfectly content as a solo queen, she can live with other cats as long as introductions are slow and thoughtful. Gigi’s future is full of promise.
