Story
We found Lexi abandoned as a baby in our backyard. She’s maybe 7 years old. She is an indoor/outdoor cat. She goes potty outside. She is fearful of people, so she needs someone she can warm up to. She needs more attention than what I can give her, and she needs stability. We have another cat and a small dog, and a 4 year old. She can be skiddish, but she gets along with our other animals fine. She is NOT declawed fyi.

Story
Accio Spell will draw you right to her! With her silky grey fur, soft green eyes, and entirely cuddly personality how could you stay away?!?! Accio is a sweet girl who is happy to be held. She enjoys playing with her brother and sister Spells, and when the fun is over she seeks a warm lap for a cozy snuggle. She is a very calm, chill kitten who loves to be around her people. Friendly and sociable, Accio happily lives with her siblings, the resident adult cats, a large cat-friendly dog, and a 6th grader. She could easily join you family, if she is sorted into it! Kittens are better in pairs! They provide entertainment for each other and you! Consider adopting a pair of Spells! Add Accio's cuddle magic in your life! Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This kitty you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties Rescue (3LP) wants to set you and your new family member up for success! In addition to a fully vetted furbaby you also receive other additional perks such as a code for a free bag of cat litter AND a code for 50% off a 2nd bag of litter from Catalyst Pet, coupons for a fun visit to Petco, and support through our Facebook Adopters group where you can connect with thousands of other adopters, 3LP volunteers, fosters and staff. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescues and will require continued efforts but are well on their way to being the best kitties that they can be! We ask that you give them time (can take weeks to months) to decompress in their new home, do slow introductions to other pets and let their true personalities have a chance to come through. Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Story
Meet Cora Crawley! She and her sister Violet Crawley (yes sisters not in-laws sorry) would love to be adopted together but we can consider adopting them separately to the perfect families. This Russian Blue mix kitten is a sweet and spunky explorer she loves toys so you can have a ton of fun with this playful kitten! She loves to lay by your feet or above your head, she likes to hang out with people but like a typical kitten she doesn’t sit still for long unless she’s had a busy day and decides to take a catnap. Like her Downton Abbey namesake Cora looks very regal, is smart and has some kitten mischief in her but she’s totally adorable. She hasn’t met kids yet but as she’s a young kitten we think she’d be find with cat savvy kids. As she is a kitten her personality is still developing but she's ready to grow with a family and even better if she can grow up with her sister so she has a feline playmate for life. Cora is FIV+ but don't be scared by that, FIV+ cats can live long healthy lives and their lifespan can be the same as a cat without FIV. Like all cats they just need their regular vet visits and as with all of our adoptable cats need to be strictly indoors. However, they would always enjoy a catio and maybe even leash and harness training to enjoy your backyard. To read more on FIV please check out some of these links and feel free to ask us questions. https://bit.ly/3JSOq6i https://www.fivcats.com/FIV/fiv_basics.html https://www.humanesociety.org/news/fiv-positive-cats We also have some adopters with FIV+ cats who would be happy to give you more information and their experience about the joy of giving a home to an FIV+ cat. Story
Meet Mowgli! This sweet lady is estimated to be 11 years old. She's a Russian Blue and is very friendly with humans, and likes getting head scritches and belly rubs (in small doses, she is still a cat). She is looking for a new home through no fault of her own - we got a dog recently, and while we were optimistic about the two of them coexisting, it's clear that she is less than thrilled.   Unfortunately we can no longer give Mowgli the attention or space she deserves, so we're hoping to find her a new lap to warm. She would definitely be happiest as a solo pet. She doesn't like dogs, and she doesn't get along great with other cats. She lived with other cats when she was younger but she was never too thrilled about it. She has also been bullied by neighborhood cats in the past :(   Mowgli is mainly an indoor cat, but once she is familiar with her home she does like to explore outdoors. We often let her out to patrol the yard for an hour or so in the afternoon, and she never goes far. She can be pretty vocal, and is not shy about letting you know it's her breakfast time! Her favorite activity these days is snoozing. She likes laying in sunny spots, will cuddle with you at night, and is an excellent lap warmer. She can be timid at first in a new environment, but will warm up especially if there aren't other animals around to make her nervous.   Mowgli is untested around children, our best guess is that she'd be fine but cautious around them. As you can see in the photos, Mowgli is a chonky girl. She is spayed, and other than her weight she seems relatively healthy. However, she is not up to date on her vaccinations and is overdue for a vet visit. If this is an issue for you, feel free to reach out and we can discuss options! Overall if you're looking for an older cat that resembles a bowling ball and has a heart of gold, Mowgli is your gal! If you are interested in learning more about Mowgli please put in an application found at catscradlerescue.com under the word Adoption. Mowgli is mainly indoors only and her adopt fee is $40   This cat is offered for adoption due to the owner's personal circumstances. For more information on meeting and adopting this kitty, please fill out a pre-adoption application under "ADOPT" on our website at WWW.CATSCRADLERESCUE.COM. Your information will be forwarded to the owner for follow-ups and meeting arrangement.  Cat's Cradle is an all-volunteer, non-profit foster-home based rescue serving Oregon cats who need new homes. 100% of your adoption fee goes to provide for the medical and physical needs of the cats in our care. We invite you to become a foster parent and experience the great satisfaction of helping a cat or kitten in need.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 16, 2024, 9:34 pm
