Sicily is a gorgeous shorthaired Russian blue mix female kitten about 12 weeks old (DOB about 3/10/23).  She LOVES everyone as soon as she meets them.  She is VERY playful and active.  She loves to play with toys or other cats and is never bored.  She gets along well with other cats, and we think she'd be great with dogs and kids.  She's negative for feline leukemia and aids, had two distemper vaccines, been wormed, had advantage for fleas, and been vet checked and spayed.  Additional vaccines (third distemper and rabies) included in the adoption fee.  Preference will be given to adopters who have a young playmate/companion for the kitten.  We typically do not adopt kittens less than 6 months old to homes where they will be a solo pet.   If interested in this cutie pie, please contact Holly at 865-671-4564 or hhfrey1@tds.net.   We are a small, private feline-only rescue group dedicated to the rescue, care and placement of homeless cats and kittens. Molotov is a handsome Russian Blue mix who is -not- thrilled to be with us. He is still adjusting to life in the shelter. He reminds us of our former adoptable Chaos; we're working to show Molotov that he can trust us. He is 2 years old and weighs 12 pounds. Molotov is also FIV+ but that shouldn't hinder his chances for a normal life. In short, FIV is a virus that may weaken his immune system over time making him more susceptible to infections, but the virus is very slow progressing with a long dormant phase and most cats do not see the effects within their lifetime. They have lifespans the same as any other cat and require no special medication or food. FIV cannot be transmitted to people or dogs. He requires what every cat does to thrive; low stress environment, good quality food, and proactive vet care if he becomes sick.
