Woooooo wooo. My name is Woofy and here is a little info about me:Breed: Samoyed mixAge: 2 1/2 yrsGender: maleWeight: 20 kgCountry of origin: Middle EastHighlight(s): intelligent, cuddler, sweet, happy I adore being held close. Hoping your the cuddly type, cuz that is the person of my dreams. It was a freezing winter day when my rescuer found me. I was wandering the streets; skinny, starving, covered in dirt, and soaked in mud. My eyes reflected a deep sadness. Despite my condition though, I approached her with such trust and hope, it's like I just knew someone would save me. I was trembling from the cold and hunger, but all I craved was love and warmth. That moment broke my rescuer's heart. She couldn’t leave me there, abandoned and helpless, in such harsh conditions. So, she didn't, she took me to a safe place. You'll find I am quite intelligent, as well as a kind and gentle soul. I simply and absolutely love people. More people, more love. More love, more snuggles. More snuggles, more happiness in the world.I'm also good with other dogs and kids too. I haven't been around any meowies though to know how I will be with them. But I am such a gentle sweetheart, it it hard to imagine I would be anything but friendly to cats.A active home will suit me well. I can chill out with the best of them, but it is nice to get out and do some fun activities too before settling down for cuddles. I walk well on leash. I currently live in a boarding facility and only go potty when taken out, so should pick up house manners quickly.I think I deserve a forever home where I can forget my painful past and feel safe, cherished, and loved for the incredible dog I am. I also want to show you so much love for the amazing person you are being willing to adot a rescue dog like me. Videos on the way. Please check back soon. Energy Level: moderateI get along with:Dogs: yesCats: unknownKids: yes Fears: none observed. Leash skills: I walk well on leash.House trained: Yes. Please help me learn where to go in my new home. Health notes:I have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated and will be microchipped. My adoption fee is $800.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. While our rescuers always seek a flight without a charge, there is the possibility of a passenger fee, not to exceed $300. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or  Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. You will NOT be charged a passenger fee in addition to this. [MID-EAST] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East.[TURKEY] Dogs from Turkey receive a 4D SNAP test to include Heartworm, Ehrlichiosis, Leishmania and Anaplasmosis. ##2254665##

Story
Meet our beautiful Ellie! Ellie is a beautiful 3-year-old Samoyed — spayed, vaccinated, and ready to find her forever home. She’s house trained, well-behaved, and full of life. Ellie is one of the sweetest dogs you’ll ever meet. She loves greeting new people with a friendly paw shake, and if you brush her, she’ll happily roll over and offer her tummy for pats. She’s incredibly gentle and social — wonderful with other dogs, cats, and children. Truly, she gets along with everyone. Because she wasn’t walked often in her previous home, Ellie is now bursting with excitement and joy when exploring the world. She might bounce around at first, simply showing how happy she is to be out and about! If you’re looking for a fluffy, affectionate teddy bear to snuggle with on the couch while watching TV, Ellie is the perfect companion for you. Please contact us through the website here if you'd like to find out more about Ellie or are interested in adopting.

Story
Samuel is a 1-year 6-month-old male Samoyed-Jindo mix, weighing 17 kg. At just six months old, Samuel was placed on the euthanasia list at a city shelter along with his sibling, Yuel. Thankfully, they were both rescued, and he is now staying at our training center, slowly regaining his trust in people and desperately hoping to start a new life with his forever family. Samuel’s personality is very gentle and non-aggressive. However, due to his traumatic past, he tends to be wary of strangers and takes time to warm up to new people. When he first arrived at our training center, he was very shy, but after a few days, he gradually opened up and revealed his naturally sweet and affectionate personality. Because he does not easily approach unfamiliar people and will require ample time and patience to adjust, extra care should be taken during walks to prevent any escape attempts, and household entryways should be securely managed until he fully bonds with his new family. Like a typical Jindo mix, Samuel has an independent streak. However, he also strongly exhibits the Samoyed’s affectionate nature and responsiveness to human connection. Once he builds trust, he expresses deep affection. Samuel gets along well with other dogs and has formed a particularly strong bond with his sibling, Yuel. Since they have spent so much time together, he may experience separation anxiety if they are apart, and this should be considered when adopting. He currently goes outside for bathroom breaks three times a day and enjoys running freely with his canine friends in the exercise yard. However, during the adjustment period in a new home, occasional accidents may occur. Once he settles in, he should quickly adapt to an outdoor potty routine again. It is recommended to start taking him on walks only after he has bonded with his new family. Due to his Jindo mix heritage, he has a strong homing instinct. If he is suddenly taken far away or travels by plane, he may become confused and instinctively try to find his way back home. To prevent this, walks should only begin after he fully recognizes his adopter as family. Even then, a double leash or harness is essential for safety. Samuel still carries emotional scars from his traumatic past and may be shy and cautious at first. However, for those that are willing to endure that initial period and patiently wait for his trust, Samuel will become the most loyal and loving lifelong companion.

Story
Sadly, I had some terrible experiences in foster since coming to Canada. The person locked me in the basement most all the time with virtually no light, no interaction. It was awful. I cried. Finally, LAL got me out of there. My new foster can only hold me for a couple weeks though, so I need an adopter pronto. My name is HATCH (Hachiko) and here is a little info about me:Breed: Akita/Spitz mixAge: 1 year oldGender: maleWeight: 17 kgCountry of origin: Middle EastHighlight(s): sweet, playful, gentle, friendly, calm Don't I look like an Orange dreamsicle? I'm just as creamy sweet too.My owner has been going through a hard time emotionally after recently losing his father and struggling with depression. I was given to him as a gift in the hope that it might help lift his spirits. Unfortunately, things did not improve and he was struggling to care for me. So, I had been taken to a boarding facility. You'll find me a bright and gentle guy. I'm also pretty calm for a puppy.I am fine with other dogs my size or larger, but for teeny dogs, my play is just too rough for them. My rescuer states I am fine with kids, see video. I have not been around any kitties. I am a really happy boy who loves everyone. Kids are a lot of fun, but bigger ones may be better, as my exuberance may knock little ones over.I have plenty of puppy energy, so would love if we could be adventurers together doing active things. Yah, I do counter surf and am a little mouthy, but I am a curious puppy yet. I just need someone patient to teach me. I am highly trainable.Surely I can adapt to most any home. I think it would be great to have an active family, as well as chilling at home afterward. I'm just a friendly, playful pup looking for my friendly, playful family. Is that you? Energy Level: moderateI get along with:Dogs: YesCats: unknownKids: Yes Fears: none observed. Please be patient assisting me in my transition.Training:Leash skills: some. THIS IS A COURTESY POST. PLEASE CONTACT THE PERSON OR GROUP LISTED BELOW. THIS IS NOT A LOVED AT LAST DOG.  Please do NOT submit an application through LALDR. Please contact Dede at info@tofinoyoga.com  for more information or to adopt. Hi everyone, I am the charming and cuddly Cohen and here's some information about me: Name: CohenAge: 5 yearsBreed: Akita | Husky | Shepherd mixWeight: 85-90 lbs Do not let my size fool you, my heart is even bigger than I am! People refer to me as a gentle giant who loves to cuddle, relax, and lounge. I also enjoy swimming, exploring, walking the beach here in Tofino, meeting friends, and soaking up the coastal life! I am gentle with kids of all ages, but I am naturally active and high energy, so will need some supervision around toddlers to curb my enthusiam! Cuddles and affection are my love languages and I can easily become a lapdog if you'll allow it. I do however have manners and will get off the couch if asked. Being alone at home is no problem as I have been crate trained. In general I am quiet and respectful, but after all I am still a dog and will sneak a treat if it's within range.  I do well on leash with a collar or harness and love to hang out with my dog friends during my weekly dog walk. The husky and I in my foster home have become true besties and I was happy to let the Chiweenie in my previous home call the shots. Off leash, I am well socialized, reading cues from oter dogs and always chosing to avoid conflict, no problem! I do however need a bit of space when I am on leash  meeting new people and dogs. A confident handler using positive reinforcement has helped me work on that.  I am not too sure about cats though, especially a few outdoor cats I met on our walks. With patience, consistency and treats from my trainers, we have worked on my anxiety, social skills and recall. They say that I have grown so much over time and that I will make a truly special companion for a loving and stable home. Regular exercise and affection are my two most important needs. With these I will thrive in my new home! I'm looking for a home that understands my need for space during introductions and is committed to continuing the positive reinforcement that’s helped me grow. I can't wait to be your loyal companion, sharing all my love, charm, and cuddles. I am fully house trained, neutered, microchipped, and my shots are up to date (last vet visit in August). I'm a healthy, happy fellow, eager to be part of a new loving family. An adoption fee of $100 applies. ##2543173##
