Story
Hi there! I’m Jambo, and I’ve been patiently waiting to meet you. Here’s a little bit about me:Breed: Pomeranian mixAge: 2 yearsGender: MaleWeight: 6 kg      Height: 22cm/9inCountry of origin: Middle EastHighlights: Calm, well-mannered, gentle, and easygoing If you’re looking for a small companion with a big heart and a peaceful personality, I might be just the dog you’ve been waiting for. My journey hasn’t been easy. I was rescued from a homeless person who could no longer care for me. Despite the instability of my early life, I remained trusting and gentle, learning how to adapt quietly to whatever came my way. Through it all, I never lost my calm nature or my love for human companionship. Once I was rescued, I finally experienced what safety and consistency feel like. With proper care and kindness, I settled in beautifully and showed everyone what a special boy I am. I’m not destructive, I don’t chew on things, and I’m not possessive of toys — I simply enjoy being near my people and feeling secure. Today, I’m a sweet, balanced boy who walks nicely on a leash and enjoys relaxed strolls, peaceful environments, and cozy time at home. I’m well-suited for someone who appreciates a gentle dog with good manners and a loving presence. Now, I’m ready for my forever home — a place where I can feel safe, loved, and truly belong. In return, I’ll offer loyalty, affection, and quiet companionship. Want to see how much of a chill boy I am? Check out this video of me enjoying my spa time! https://youtube.com/shorts/IIIKrqM3wKs Energy level: Moderate I get along with:• Dogs: Yes• Cats: Yes• Kids: Yes (Rescuer says yes but no video proof)                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  Fears: None observed. Like any rescue, I’ll appreciate patience as I settle into a new routine.                                                                                                                                            Training:• Leash skills: Yes, though continued training is encouraged• House trained: Yes, but I will need help learning where to go in my new home                                                                                                                                                                                  Health notes:                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     I am neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.  Adoption fee: $850.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. While our rescuers always try to find a flight without a charge, there may be a passenger fee, not to exceed $300. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you.Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or  Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. You will NOT be asked to pay a passenger fee on top of the cargo fee. [MID-EAST] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East. ##2611317##

Story
Woooooo wooo. My name is Woofy. Hoping your the cuddly type, cuz that is the person of my dreams. Here is a little info about me: Breed: Samoyed mix Age: 2 1/2 yrs Gender: Male Weight: 20 kg/44lb Location: Vancouver Island in foster Energy Level: moderate I get along with: Dogs and kids but I don't know any cats Fears: none observed.  Training: Leash skills: I walk well on leash. House trained: Yes. Please help me learn where to go in my new home. Health: Neutered, vaccinated, microchipped Highlight(s): intelligent, cuddler, sweet, happy Adoption fee: $800 plus tas About Me - I adore being held close. You'll find I am quite intelligent, as well as a kind and gentle soul. I simply and absolutely love people. More people, more love. More love, more snuggles. More snuggles, more happiness in the world.I'm also good with other dogs and kids too. I haven't been around any cats so I don't know how I'd do around them.but I am such a gentle sweetheart, it it hard to imagine I would be anything but friendly to cats. I walk well on a leash.Ideal home - A active home will suit me well. I can chill out with the best of them, but it is nice to get out and do some fun activities too before settling down for cuddles. My story - It was a freezing winter day in the Middle East, when my rescuer found me. I was wandering the streets; skinny, starving, covered in dirt, and soaked in mud. My eyes reflected a deep sadness. Despite my condition though, I approached her with such trust and hope, it's like I just knew someone would save me. I was trembling from the cold and hunger, but all I craved was love and warmth. That moment broke my rescuer's heart. She couldn’t leave me there, abandoned and helpless, in such harsh conditions. So, she didn't, she took me to a safe place. I think I deserve a forever home where I can forget my painful past and feel safe, cherished, and loved for the incredible dog I am. I also want to show you so much love for the amazing person you are being willing to adopt a rescue dog like me. Health notes:I have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated and will be microchipped. Because I originally came from the Middle East my vaccinations for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East.My adoption fee is $800.00 CAD plus applicable taxes.
