Meet Rocky 🤍 Rocky is a stunning, confident samoyed/husky (we think) who has already beaten the odds. He was part of a group of 5-6 dogs surviving together in a park until a kind woman stepped in and saved not just him—but his two companions, Jett and Frannie. Rocky naturally took on the role of leader for the trio. He’s confident, aware, and looks out for his friends—but he’s not pushy or difficult. With people, he’s affectionate, social, and loves attention. He’s the kind of dog that turns heads everywhere he goes and then wins hearts the second you meet him. He walks well on leash, enjoys being out and about, and truly thrives when he has a person to connect with. At home, he’s a big, cuddly husky who would happily relax near you after getting his exercise. Rocky does well with other dogs, especially those with more easygoing or non-dominant personalities. Because he’s used to being the leader, he does best with dogs who don’t challenge him. Rocky is bonded with Jett and closely connected to Frannie, and it would be incredible to see him adopted with Jett, or even all three together. That said, we understand that’s a big ask, and Rocky can be placed on his own in the right home. Rocky will need a home that understands the breed—he’s active, intelligent, and will need proper exercise, structure, and a secure yard (he can be an escape artist if bored or under-stimulated). What you’ll get in return is a truly special dog—loyal, engaging, and full of personality. Einstein is a big, lovable Samoyed who loves to part of the family. He’s super friendly, great with people (including kids), and not shy about asking for love. He’ll come over for pets, lean into you for cuddles, and happily give face kisses. He really likes being close to his people. He has a nice balance of energy and chill. He enjoys long walks, exploring, and being outside, but he’s just as happy hanging out at home or cuddling next to you. He’s used to getting a good amount of daily exercise and would do best with an active home that can keep him engaged. Einstein has lived with another dog and does best with another friend in the home. He can be a little reactive when he first sees new dogs on leash or from a distance, but once he gets to know them, he settles and does well. He’ll benefit from some continued guidance and structure here. He’s generally easy in the home and not destructive. He’s comfortable in different environments overall, but tends to prefer quieter settings over really busy or noisy ones. Einstein is currently on seizure medication that he takes three times a day. He’s doing well on it, but his future home will need to be comfortable sticking to a consistent schedule and staying in touch with a vet. He would love a home where he can be included in daily life, get regular exercise, and have people around to hang out with. He’s a really sweet pup!

A soulful young adult Akita/Siberian Husky mix currently in Roseville, CA, whose essence is a whirlwind of energy wrapped in a majestic tricolor coat and anchored by a loyal, tender heart. Hatchi is a 90-pound oversized teddy bear who’s still adjusting to life with only one working eye, the result of stabilized glaucoma. Though he may see shadows, sudden movements can startle him, especially during walks. Because of this, he thrives with a confident, experienced caregiver who can help him feel grounded and secure. Hatchi is strong on leash and reactive to dogs, cats, bikes, and cars that pass by, so he needs someone who’s comfortable working with large breeds and understands the power of positive reinforcement and patient training. Despite his reactivity, Hatchi is a sweet, snuggly companion at heart. He melts into affection and is eager to please, especially when treats are involved! This intelligent boy responds to his name, is crate trained, house-trained, and has lived harmoniously with young children aged 7 and 8. He may do well with a calm, female dog companion but would not be compatible with cats. Daily life with Hatchi includes administering eye drops, which he’ll need for the rest of his life. Thankfully, his love of treats makes this task pretty manageable. A fenced yard is essential, not because he’s tried to escape, but because his Husky instincts and natural curiosity make outdoor safety a must. Penny is truly the sweetest family dog. She is calm and gentle. Penny is very affectionate and LOVES people. Penny loves getting pets and belly rubs. She is a pit bull mix about 7.5 years young with a beautiful copper-colored coat (hence her name Penny!). Our sweet Penny was in the Carson animal shelter for 6 months before she received her final notice. She was rescued late February this year, and she's been living with me (her current foster mom) for a little over 4 months. Penny is happy just sitting next to anyone in the family. She's not a fan of long walks but she enjoys short walks and loves lounging in the sun. Penny is house trained and is very good at some tricks. Penny is not the best with other dogs but she may be able to live with another calm large dog with training. Penny has some skin allergies so she takes apoquel regularly and currently eats a mix of plant-based and fish-based food. Penny would be an amazing family dog! ##1635113##
