Story
Apply to Adopt Me! Sunny is on the hunt for her forever family. Who exactly would fit that bill? Well.... she says glad you asked! This 8yo, 24lb. sweet girl's future family has to have lots of love to give! They have to be ready for many hugs and often snuggles. Sunny is a clinger, but will settle in her bed or on the couch under a snuggle blanket. Her perfect family will take her on lots of walks, even though they don't have to be long ones. She loves to explore and sniff around, because.. well, she definitely has hound in her! She's saying beagle but she does fib sometimes! lol like when she says she's ready for a treat, but then turns her nose up to it. Poor girl has had a rough time of it for awhile now, and is very leery of other dogs, so it's best that she be the only dog, although with proper intros with a super chill dog, would be ok too. Shes housebroken, crate trained and walks great on a leash. She is great riding in the car. She just started being interested in squeaky toys.   She hasn't been around small children but she loves everyone, so respectful children would be fine. If you live in the Central Florida/Orlando area and believe you have the perfect home for Sunny, please complete an app and tell us more about your family. March 1, 2026, 3:19 pm

Story
Apply to Adopt Me! Are you looking for a new best friend? Look no further! Meet Amos, a 5-6yo, 21lb. possible basset hound/beagle mix. Amos had a tough time in his life prior to coming to Lil Rascals, finding himself homeless and roaming around a Georgia nieghborhood until someone finally cared enough to help him. As a result, he is a little anxious and shy. But that doesn’t stop this short-legged boy from wanting to be your best friend. He loves to meet new people and enjoys going places with his humans - whether on walks or in the car. He hasn’t spent much time around children, but in his limited interactions he’s done fine. Amos loves to cuddle, sleep and spend time with you and your dog! He would do best in a home with another dog, as he looks to other dogs for comfort and cues. He is currently in a home with a cat and is mostly uninterested although he has shown some friendly curiosity. He is not quite housebroken but he is trying his best to figure it out and his accidents are happening less frequently. He is more likely to go potty in a fenced-in yard with someone outside with him than on a walk, but he walks well on a leash and enjoys going on adventures. He is a scent hound, so he likes to stop and sniff everything while walking. Amos responds well to positive reinforcement and needs a home that can show him a lot of patience and love. Loud noises (including squeaky toy) and voices scare him, and he may bark when he hears a noise he’s unsure of. Although he’s a hound, we’ve only heard him bark, not howl. He is very food motivated but hasn’t shown any signs of food aggression. He is overly excited when it comes to mealtime and cries and jumps. We’ve been working on training him to be calm around these times so he doesn’t exhaust himself with excitement, but Amos is still a work in progress. He will go in the crate with a treat but prefers not to be in crate. He sleeps well through the night in bed with you or on a dog bed in your room. He loves cuddling in bed and he curls himself up into a little ball. Amos is a great little guy who is looking for a loving and patient home. He is social, friendly, and oh so sweet. He’d love to be your new best friend! Amos is heartworm positive at this time, and is on the slow kill protocol, which we can explain that process to any interested applicant. He can enjoy regular activities. Heart worm disease is contracted from an infected mosquito and can not be transmitted to another dog. If you live in the Central Florida/Orlando area and believe you have the perfect home for Amos, complete an app and tell us more about your family. March 3, 2026, 1:42 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Wiggle – A Little Girl with a Big Heart  Wiggle made her journey to Pet Rescue By Judy all the way from Puerto Rico through one of our wonderful rescue partners. Now safe in Central Florida, this adorable girl is ready to find the forever family she’s been waiting for. Approximately two years old, Wiggle is believed to be a Beagle/Lab mix. She has the height and compact build of a Beagle, paired with a soft, Lab-like face that absolutely melts your heart. At just about 23 pounds, she is full-grown and will not be getting any taller or bigger — the perfect petite size for just about any home! As she was a street dog, Wiggle is timid and needs a fenced backyard to keep her safely in her surroundings. True to her name, Wiggle is sweet, affectionate, and full of love. She enjoys being close to her people and is happiest when she’s cuddled up next to you. Whether it’s relaxing on the couch, going for a walk, or simply soaking up attention, Wiggle is content just being by your side. She would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a loyal, loving, and manageable-sized dog to share life’s everyday moments with.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 23, 2026, 7:42 am
