Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Bob Scratchit: Your Goofy, Loving Basset Hound Mix Bob Scratchit, a 2-year-old basset hound mix weighing 50 pounds, arrived at The London Sanctuary from Bradford County animal control. Bob is a big ol' puppy at heart, and his goofy personality is sure to bring a smile to your face. In his foster home, Bob is a bundle of joy. He adores his toys, especially interactive plush hide & seek toys that challenge his curious mind. When it's time to settle down, Bob happily retreats to his soft crate, where he dreams of new adventures. Although he protests going into the crate during the day with adorable hound-like bays, he eventually settles down and enjoys his cozy space. Bob is a very curious boy, full of wonder and excitement. It's important to ensure he's in a safe space like his crate or a secure room when left alone to prevent any mischief. He doesn't have any aggression issues and is already housebroken. However, Bob is still learning obedience and manners; he loves to jump onto surfaces and explore everything within his reach. Walking on a leash is enjoyable for him, although he could use some guidance in leash manners during walks. Bob is good with other dogs but may not always understand when playtime is over for his playmates. He hasn't met any cats yet, and he's good with kids due to his passive and sweet nature. If you're looking for a loving and playful addition to your family, Bob Scratchit is your guy. His ears even double as his own personal eye mask when he sleeps, adding to his unique charm! Bob is heartworm negative, up-to-date on all vaccines, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $300, and The London Sanctuary requires home visits to ensure the best match. Contact them at foster@thelondonsanctuary.com or find them on Facebook or Instagram to meet Bob and bring some fun chaos into your home! Story
Apply to Adopt Me! Hi I’m Susie! My foster parents call me Sweet Susie Q. I am a smiley girl, as you can see in my video of me showing off my smile abilities. I’m an approx. 5-year-old, 43- lb. female beagle mix with a heart of gold. I’m a medium energy girl and I’ve done well with all the dogs I’ve met, although pushy dogs scare me a bit. I am also good with cats and kids! I am house broken and haven’t had a single accident in my foster home. Are you looking for a gardening buddy or outdoor adventure dog? I’m your gal! My favorite thing to do is follow my foster mom around the back yard while she gardens. I walk well on a leash, although going in a straight line is a work in progress. But I do love a good walk and then enjoy hanging out on the couch. I also ride well in a car. While I’m gaining more and more confidence being inside, the outdoors is still where I love running around and just being able to be "me," so I would love for my forever person to love the outdoors too. And it's a must that I have a secure fenced-in yard. I’m a shy but loving girl, and once I trust you, I’ll be your shadow. I do well sleeping in a crate, but I prefer to sleep in bed with my people. Susie is heart worm positive at this time, and is on the slow kill method, which we can explain that process to any interested applicant. She can enjoy regular activities. Heart worm disease is contracted from an infected mosquito and can not be transmitted to another dog. If you live in the Central Florida/Orlando area and think you have the perfect forever home for me, complete an app and tell us more about you. May 4, 2024, 10:01 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Duke is a very sweet dog, who needs a quiet household. It takes him a while to become acclimated to new people. He is currently in a foster home with a wonderful man who came to visit him here at the shelter multiple times to spend some time with him before he was ready to take him home. Duke is very happy in his home and loves to explore the yard. He has discovered that Duke does not like to be left alone for very long. He does not tear things up or destroy anything, he just gets nervous and shakes when he's alone for an extended period of time. We would like his permanent home to have someone home most of the time (work from home or retired) to keep him company during the day. Since he does not do well meeting new people he should not be walked in a busy community where strangers might want to come up and pet him. He will either need a backyard where he can safely run and play or live somewhere there is minimal walking traffic. Duke is a good dog and it is definitely worth the extra time it takes to get to know him :)  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 4, 2024, 5:04 pm
